Well here i am 22 days from germination and my plants are not happy. I’m using 2 parts ffhf soil 1part miracle grow organic soil 1 part perlite. I’m also mixing in trifecta fertilizer and worm castings. The yellowing started in the lower leaves but is now being seen in the new growth as well. I’ve tried spraying with Epsom salts and even gave a light watering with a weak mix of jacks tomato fertilizer. Any help would be appreciated
I would say your white spots are dried epsom from the spray…the rest kinda looks like burn or some sort of lockout or possibly both…
Youre nutes on top of castings might be causing a N toxicity causing the darker green, taco-y witch finger look that your newest leaf set seems to be doing…
Do you know the ppm and ph of what youre putting in and what youre plant is running off?
I’ll second this. Just use plain water for the next week or two. Small plants don’t need as much food, it’ll build up and make the soil toxic.
I’ve neglected excess clones in solo cups for much longer than 22 days and they look a lot more beat up than that - I can always get them to bounce back with an up-potting and a little TLC.
IMO - fidgeting with PH and nutrients and foliar sprays and all that stuff RN is just going to complicate everything… Get a 1 or 2 gallon pot, some clean generic potting soil, and transplant it. Water lightly at first, heft the pot before watering again to make sure you’re not overwatering. If it doesn’t recover in two weeks then I’d maybe look into “diagnosing and correction”
Just my two cents! Don’t overthink it! It’s a plant
Unfortunately i currently have no way to test ph or ppm. White spots are definitely the epson salt.
You’re probably right about trying to many different remedies to early.
Bad in, bad out. Use the right products and you’ll see these issues not occur.
Man I would just use plain ph’d water 6.5 and probably transplant soon into some more cannabis friendly soil like Fox farm Roots organic the usual. Sounds like you got too much going on in that little Solo cup
I would just repot it in decent soil, it will bounce back. Remove most of the old soil from around the roots and repot it. For a tiny plant it shouldnt be calcium or mag deficient.
This. Most bag or living soil is hot enough to keep the plants thriving for ~3 weeks. I usually don’t amend or top dress until week 3 (+/- a few days depending on cultivar). Just give the plants enough time to establish and utilize the resources already available. ![]()
plant is still young = just re-pot it being that the plant is still small just buy a bag of Ocean Blend and/or Happy Frog if possible
How’s that little plant doing at the start of this thread
Definitely looks better. Lol. ![]()
Yeah they sure are hard to kill
