Indicana Jones Rides Again (Part 2)

I got timers, pump, and coco bags on the way. Once those janks are here i can start running hoses and get this show on the road. I’m only gonna miss my dead line by about 2 weeks.

I better check and see what my riot rooters look like or if the bag got punctured or something and theyre all crunchy.

@Indicana_Jones do you boil your rooters before you use them?

Hey @Indicana_Jones

Are you using organics in the mix? Makes a difference on prevenatives best used. Dont want to kill the good stuff.

For example, I was using UVC light in res while adding Garden Friendly Fungicide. Sure enough, killed all the good from GFF with uvc and prob promoted algae growth downstream due to interaction.

They make hash

Dry ice is used like a sand blasting media to clean parts before they’re welded and to remove excess slag on robotic welders and equipment. I know some mechanics that use it to shrink parts that are slightly too big to fit like bearings and piston sleeves. Plus it makes awesome dry sift hash.

Dry ice hash is exactly why I’ve been looking. Got the bags just need to find the supply. After calling 3 publix, looks to be out of stock. Going to look to airgas dist if it doesent show in supermarket locally.

Harris Teeter grocery store used to sell it in block form. You just had to break it up into small pieces. It’s been awhile since I bought it but maybe try there.

That’s wild three Publix locations are out. Every store in FL I’ve been in has that cooler up by the front. You just get someone from the counter area. Bad luck. I hope you find some. It’s blocks there as well.

Edit: Also, are Publix everywhere now? Are they insanely expensive now everywhere too?

Appreciate the lead but have not been located near a Harris Teeter in a few years. :+1:

Good to know Publix sticks blocks. Not too interested in pulverizing the block if I can get pellets at airgas. Thanks for the info :v:

No. I just always assumed they came sterilized. After the bag has been opened, though, all bets are off. Ive definitely found a bag 90 days later thats is full of green slime after being left out under the lamp light on accident.

@PatHealy yessir. Publix is taking over for the 9-9 and the 2000! I just went into one for the first time since they started building them here and I shan’t be going back. The only thing that makes sense there is when things go on BOGO. Other than that everything I looked at was on NONO.

They pulled that move Americans seem to love for some reason, where they bought out all of our other grocery stores over the years and then once they bought enough of the competition, they jacked up the prices and lowered the quality. As a kid Publix was the cheaper option. They bought Eckerds, Albertson’s, Kash and Karry, and others I can’t think of. Subs, deli, and bakery stuff used to be good too. Now it’s not. Subs used to be massive and $5-$6. I remember taking meat off of them as a teenager, because it was too much to try and bite. Now, it feels so light as soon as you pick it up. But hey man, they used those profits to fund Jan 6th and whatnot, so maybe it’s worth spending extra there. Haha

I love how deregulated capitalism is creating all of this healthy competition and benefitting the consumer or whatever is happening.

I remember publix from my childhood doing summers with my grandparents. Its wild that as a kid i could afford to shop at Publix… Not so much anymore.

This monies fixin to trickle down any day now. I can feel it.

Damn yall. I got a call from a project manager i do work for early as all hell this morning and i was like “omg! Why is this foo calling me so damn early?” He was like “Morning Jonesy! Remember that job you did in the garage with the color adjustable light?” I started panicking. Did that bootleg piece of shit catch on fire? Are these fools about to try and sue me? Why is this phone call happening so early? I reply calmly “Nah, I dont remember that one. Whats up?”

Turns out I never invoiced for that one. Haha jackpot! Free money! Dummies! Suckers! The Drip equipment fund has been replenished! All hail the insurance gods!

Do you know about the little tools they make for opening the PVC primer and cement cans??? I’ve always wondered why I’d never seen one and observed people on jobs doing the wildest shit to open them. I guess I’d never looked online or anything, but I saw one at the store yesterday and bought it. It made me happy. Haha

I use a pair of channel locks to open those sons a guns. And whats even worse is i buy the smallest can of primer i can find because i throw it away at the end of every job. Even with the channel locks, i can never get the cap to go back on tight enough to keep that smell from creeping out into the van and giving me a headache. I probably need some sort of container that snaps shut with a gasket to put those things in.

Thats my shark tank idea! If some one can make a plastic thing to hold your wet paint brush in, i can make a stupid plastic thing that keeps you from getting a headache.

That’s exactly it!! I can never close them back up and that smell is intense. They love us just buying new cans each time though. That gasket will put them out of business. Haha

New cans of primer are gonna be like $35 off the shelf. Lol. Ganster ass plumbers unions are gonna be outside my manor gates with pitchforks and torches.

What do you name something like that?
