Spread mulch today. Waiting for 8 to head to the store for a few groceries. That way I’ll be back around 10 when the lights come on to fill the res. Otherwise, I’d never go in there tonight. Haha Need to grab another 100 bags of mulch tomorrow.

I think I need 300 more to finish. I probably would have come up with another plan if I knew I’d had to do it all with bags for no real discount. I just figured if I could get mulch cheap in the city, out here would be even easier. Boy was I wrong. Haha

Bro just the thought of humping 500 bags of mulch back and forth to the house is making my back cry. I called chip drop back in 23 and they dropped off so many chipped trees in my driveway it would make your head spin. So anyway i think we are about a 3rd of the way through the pile. Im sick of it. I got a dude coming with a bobcat to move the rest of it. He was like where do you want it? I told him to kill the whole yard. The look of confusion on his face was priceless.

Damnnnn, I wish. I did only want cypress mulch, so maybe that made it more difficult to find someone. Haha. Whoops. That looks like a nice neighborhood and some big ass houses too. Sweet!!! Not these corny ass fake new neighborhoods all over here with the same boxes like my house and whatnot. Haha

Hah. My house is deceptively cozy. We moved in from like a 500 sq ft apartment and were like daaamn this place is huge. Theres so much room for activities. But, It is a cool little neighborhood, though. The oldest houses were built around 1915 I think. I sometimes wish I would have moved into a new construction house. I never would have thought Id be 7 years deep into a remodel in my life

Okay @Hashpants and @PatHealy i got some more parts in the mail and a couple of reducer fittings and the such from my homies at VAMAC.

How do we make the transition between 3/4 PVC and poly tubing?

Also are you stepping down to 1/2" tubing then 1/4" tubing to drippers or are you going from 3/4" tubing to 1/4" to drippers?

Yes 100%

That last amazon link should be stakes for 1/4" tubing correct? That diagram is tits man thanks. And it does look like you are going from 3/4" poly tubing down to the 1/4" whips. I got tons of that shit already so for real its just a few more bobbles to order.

This has been super helpful pat.

That air vacuum will help keep your res from siphoning to the pots when youre not feeding, if your res is above the plants. I think?

Yeah im not really sure how that works. My only frame of refernce is for dishwasher drains if the little nub drain is lower than 22"

Its like the water is gonna pump up about 3 feet then drop several inchs then whip back up several inches. Ill keep it in there for just in case, nah mean?

It helps with that, but if you use pressure compensating emitters you don’t need to worry. It lessens the stress on the system and reduces the risk of blowing out somewhere.
