Wasn’t sure what forum to post this in, but figured most of us start off indoors, probably a good fit here. I try to make my own medium when I’m starting seeds/plants using coir, compost, and perlite, with a sprinkle of worm castings thrown in. BUT…I don’t always have everything I need, and run short on time, so I’ll grab a bag of commercial mix from time to time.
I came across this video this morning. He tests a lot of products we all know and love.
Comes up with some interesting results. If you don’t want to watch the whole thing, move to about the 12min mark.
There are obviously some flaws in all of this, number 1 being problems that get corrected with whatever we use for nutes. But still of interest, I think
