I can tell you that i have had microvascular decompression surgery and it was supposed to give me pain free ten years,nope just before 2 years it came back. Any strains that help in particular let me know, I know cannabis helps it somehow, infact i was visiting michigan and upon arrival i started having attacks, some joints got lit, my attacks stopped for like 3 days…thats was awesome and at that time i was on 3 different meds maxxed out. Hiya Oleskool, thanks for the welcome, yeah the teeth …they pulled tons of mine because at first they thought it was that, normal drugs dont work the same way for nerve pain, so as there yanking my cheek around and all, they kept setting off massive attacks…I feel for your wife, it was something no one should have to endure

Lol no worries, I’m no grammar nazi. Sorry to hear about your struggles man, my wife has really advanced rheumatoid arthritis. And its twisting her up like a crippled preztle, shes a fighter and has a crazy pain tolerance, but I’m trying to find her something that helps, it’s a hunt and we’ve have zero luck as of yet. But we JUST started the hunt so hopefully this time next year we have a couple strains and some proven methods, that work for her, that I can turn into a system to provide her with some meds, that dont cost $5400. That’s how much just one of her meds is per month, the shit is ridiculous.

I think but only think as I have no proof that the pot helps me relax, and that that somehow translates to less attacks and even maybe stopping some, as it seems that if i get wound up about something I have more problems. As far as the pain I have always thought it helped. And your Wife and her tolerance I understand that,have a history of injuries and what not, and have a decent tolerance but it really only seems to mean
that in your mind you deal with it better…not that it still doesnt hurt like a biotch . So my hats off to you both.

I am a vet and got some help with meds but yeah I remember some were like crazy talk expensive, the surgery i had cost crazy. LOL so kinda in the same boat,

Thanks very much. I actually loosened up one of my molars with my tongue and various tools so much it basically fell out. I’ve had four of the spinal nerve ablations and still take gabapentin and cymbalta, but I’m 100X better than 18 months ago. I have OCD and I don’t know if it blunts my pain level or if it was the years of beatings, but I mutilate my fingers on a regular basis. The nerve pain is different. It can go from itchy/tingly to stabbing electric shocks at any time. You go to sleep freezing and wake up sweating for no reason, then you’re wet and cold. You’re hungry and then nauseated when you start eating. It’s fucked. On top of that, it’s invisible so at times I look like a spastic dipshit if you don’t know me. I have to explain to people that my facial expressions are because I’m in a little discomfort. I’m in decent shape for my age, most recently the doctor said I don’t look like the typical person with diabetes type 2. I find that I have to keep my blood pressure down to not aggravate the facial nerves and get the “attack” or facial paralysis again. I like OG Kush varieties like Face Off, Tahoe, SFV, Fire, etc. and a quality Purps, like GDP/Grape Ape for the all around effects they have. Mood, pain, sleep and appetite are helped for sure. Stardawg and Sour Diesel are good daytime smokes for me.

Yeah I have wondered, I think in the not to distance past they might of put people in mental health institutions for these kinda conditions, thinking there physcotic or whatever. Thanks for the strain tips, I have been considering one with face off in it. when I am /was real bad i have one side of my face(left) droop, talk about goofy looking. I was on Gabapentin, carbamezphine and Dylantin all at the same time all maxxed out, then they threw in lyrica and a doctor put me on big fentanyl patches. Was a trip for sure, totally legal too oh and i had valium and oxys to ease the spasms. Now after the surgery so far the most i have been on is 4 carbamezphine aday. Right now I have nothing in my system,except cannabinoids .

I am neither Scottish nor a hero. But I just liked the name. I am Dutch btw.
The reason I signed up for OG is because I came across a number of things here that are of great interest to me.
And then I mainly mean everything that has to do with Hydro. In the Netherlands not so widespread among hobby growers, despite the fact that we are the land of water.
I hope to learn a lot here, and will start reading as much as I can.
