I’m creating this as a place for new people to introduce themselves, myself included.
I used to be on overgrow before it got shut down (15 to 20 years ago I think?) and now here it is again! And CC forums before that.
I can’t remember my old user handles, but my goal is the same: find the best genetics out there and preserve them (give a big middle finger to the big time breeders who are monopolizing strains by bastardizing, oops I mean feminizing them).
I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with in real life Eddy Lepp and remember a lot of the giants whose shoulders we stand on today. (Who here remembers ordering from Emery seed bank and getting genetics in those corrugated plastic inserts??) Seeds used to be a real risk. Today the climate and culture is so different.
Advice we used to live by, and although legal, should still remember:
-
Don’t tell anyone that you’re growing marijuana, not even yourself because then you might tell someone else lol

-
LABEL YOUR GENETICS AND PLANTS! If you keep them in your head thinking you’re going to remember the crosses over the years, you are absolutely mistaken. Just write the abbreviations on a popsicle stick and keep it in the soil.
-
Store seeds in a cool dry place, like in a bag of dry rice in the freezer, or in a pill bottle with one of those silica packets in the bottom.
Glad to be back.
