Is Sweet Seeds bulk?

Hey folks,

Quick question, what’s the real deal with Sweet Seeds?

I’ve seen people call them “bulk from Morocco,” but others say they’re solid.

Anyone here grown their photoperiod strains like Jack 47 or Psicodelicia?

Trying to figure out if they’re worth trusting or if I should stick with something like Dutch Passion or Barney’s Farm.

The reality is that a large majority of Europe’s biggest seed banks are white label these days. Royal Queen Seeds, Seedsman, Dutch Passion, and even Sensi Seeds had to change their model to keep up with enormous demand. It wasn’t possible to fully satisfy the demand while sticking with the boutique model of seed production.

But it’s still all about quality control, so some of them are better and I wouldn’t be afraid to buy from any of those.

I grew 2 of their ‘Black Jack’ a few years back and was really not a fan. Buds ended up pale and anaemic looking, had a lime taste, the high was dull spacey and introspective but not in a good way.

They ain’t bulk as far as I know alot are in Spain but I don’t think they are one of them idk I’ve had good luck with some of there stuff anyway regardless I ain’t ever seen anyone selling there gear under other names apart from the ones that most carry see if something is bulk you will often notice say for example 3 seed banks release the same lineage but renamed you see that alot so it’s worth looking out for it’s usually pretty easy to spot

From them I rate there killer kush there sad is ok too prefer proper black domina (as it’s more indica in effect Vs the s1s there more balanced effects)but it’s still good also cream caramel and gorilla girl was decent too sweet cheese is ok but it’s not the most cheese leaning cheese hybrid out there ime leans towards jack more so there black jack was ok tasty just not as potent as some other people’s versions of it

I grew Jack 47 Auto, still one of my favorites. Big harvest for an autoflower, impressive potency and a strong upbeat motivational high. True medicinal marijuana. I remember the seeds were far more expensive than the rest of their stock.

I has the exact opposite experience with Black Jack and SAD that i’ve loved… :upside_down_face:
Black Jack, potent, mold resistant, productive in and out. SAD, the same qualities, more Indica effect, a taste so good…
But that was long ago, feminised strains were a new thing.
It’s all about number and selection. I always though feminised were quite uniform compared to regular.

I missed to try Botafumeiros…

Hey man I’ve grown quite a few of their strains both photos and auto flowers…never had a herm or really poor plant from sweet seeds over the years going back to 2015 range. There’s nothing wrong with white label or bulk or whatever you want to call it as long as the price is reasonable which they are. Check out grow diaries and do a Google search on specific strains bc there are plenty of growers who would agree with my sentiments.

i have a keeper cut i found in one of their packs. had it for about 3 years now. it’s traveled to other states and quite a few other gardens. but, i’ve also heard some mixed stories. the sweet seeds guys are on the other good forum, and they seem decent in my interactions with them. when i spoke to them about my cut they were pretty interested in the outcome, especially the terps and hash.

Nice! Well, I’m a newbie and some Brazilian YouTubers keep saying that bulk seeds and white label are bad and yadda yadda so i really wanted to check and be sure about this.

If you have better seeds or seeds you want to grow, stick with those. I grew a bunch of autos out from them and a 4 pack of photo red hot cookies and almost all were fine. None of the red hot cookies (Tangie x GSC) had any orange or cookie terps. They were really lackluster. I did enjoy their green poison auto, though. That came out very dank.

I grew out their Purple Punch OG a few years ago. Very pretty, clean, stable plant with the expected high. Not a keeper for me but I had zero problems with the grow. :+1:

That’s kind of a “purist” approach. With legalization, the market expands to the point where boutique breeders make up only a small part of it. The majority of the market needs to be filled by bigger producers, who can only serve it through mass production. And some companies manage to do that really successfully without compromising quality too much. That’s what happened in Europe. It’ll come to Brazil too

The reason seed production moved to Spain is because of their partial legalization. They can pretty much produce seeds legally, but they can’t produce buds in large quantities. And here’s the catch: I think good breeding practice means producing enough buds to actually see the results of the breeding, not just seeds. And they’re somehow legally limited in that. Full legalization would give them more freedom and peace of mind, which is valuable for long-term breeding. But I’m not based in Spain, so if someone could check my intuition, that would help. It’s not legal it’s just decriminalised like Holland so legal enough to make money from but doesn’t protect the smokers and growers so much I know there allowed a few plants for personal use it’s supposed to be outta sight as well but as for what they can get away with varies if your neighbours are cool U can get away with more basically if they ain’t you can’t growing for sale or supply is still illegal as far as I know so it’s a grey area I don’t think half the seed companies over there will have proper permission but who cares the business has always been this kinda in-between legal and not if you can’t take the heat get outta the kitchen as they say sure there’s lots of white label stuff going there however some legit breeders and growers doing actual work too so I wouldn’t tar everyone with the white label brush either

Sadly, in The Netherlands they also hunt people down for 5 plants. They even can evict you from you home, even a family who grow for their autism son, makes oil from it. Get evicted for 5 plants… ‘The law of Damocles’.

Hope better times are coming…

Good…who the fu** do they think they are growing drugs for a special needs kid? Horrible people I say just scum of the earth. They should go the pharmaceutical route for pills with nasty side effects and profits over people. Haha those are the talking points from anti cannabis folks in my area. Seriously though pretty damn sad that Dutch have to worry ab plant count and nonsense like that
