Issues controlling RH month into flower

So I’m a month into flower

Not doing to well w/ humidity. My 50 pint GE Dehumid won’t get my basement under 55RH. My 10x5 is about 56RH about an hour after watering, lights on. I assume this goes down as time goes by just based on common sense? I haven’t checked.

My 4x4 on the other hand is rocking 65 RH during lights on…. Prob a little over at lights off but usually by that time they’re drying out so not to much higher if at all.

Can you actually flower in these conditions? I’m getting worried. I got 16 plants in full flower… some starting to make some nice buds.

Any pointers? Debating watering less maybe? I’m in coco and have been watering till I see a bit of runoff.

Pic for attention!

as long as you have air flow you are good. you aren’t very crowded. you won’t have the microclimates most do. you could add more dehumidification you have the room. i flowered in a garage quite a few times with no rh controll in 100% humidity outside. air flow and adding low huimdity air and i had no issues at all. i am going to run some equitorials like that this summer, but strain wise it won’t matter.

Was going to make a more detailed comment and realized it was the exact comment as @splinter7 minus the previous grow conditions. I second that airflow will be key here if more dehumidification isn’t possible for you. You should be fine. Plants look great!

So my dehumidifier is right outside the tent on the intake side, sucking fresher dryer air in and then the warmer wet air out the other side.

That photo was at start of flip. It’s all very well packed now

Also is bud rot visible? What’s it start out looking like?

Plants look beautiful. :sunglasses: :metal:

Ty, my first grow so I’m :pray::pray:

Plants are definitely lookin’ nice! Looks like decent space for airflow and I can see your fans in these pics. You should be good. Bud rot is generally visible. You’ll notice a patch of discoloration usually brownish and dead sugar leaves in that spot. If you break open that bud you’ll know! With more plants comes more time for thorough inspections!

Looks ok to me? :man_shrugging: then again I’m new to this what do I know.

Not sure how to gauge but I think based on my vdp below photo I’m close but a bit off in my main tent

Some of it depends on the strain being grown and what they will tolerate, but between 1.2 & 0.9 is ok as long as previously mentioned airflow is sufficient.

So what does that mean for my 1.5 tent? That it’s done? It looks good?

I think your plants look really good mate, no worries honestly, those VPD charts are a guide only, I prefer a slightly humid atmosphere, less plant stress.

Phew was going to have trouble sleeping. I think I’m prob 45 days from done on everything so I’m sweating bullets here!

A too low RH can be worse than a little high imo, keep your exhaust running in the high RH tent to bring in dryer air if you can.
