@DougDawson When I first started growing I used Jacks 20-20-20 and their flower line. This is way before the 321 stuff. I really liked it and it made growing really easy. I never ph’ed. Just added cal mag and I had beautiful plants without any deficiencies. I’m sure you’ll iron it out.
@chronix I have been using Gaia green my last few grows and I get a potassium def in flower, so I supplement it. Otherwise i like it.
Might try Jacks again since I have some around the house just to see the difference.
Well it’s another day and I thought I would drop another plant pic. Gave them another good feed to waste with the tap formula and am waiting on the 20-20-20. Going to be interested to see the difference.
Might just be me, but I find that a plain water every so often is helpful for me. This is especially true since I don’t use co2 in my grows.
On flood tables I usually do the a b combo with Epsom salts. I mix for 50 gallon in a 70 gallon tank
No man, that would totally defeat the purpose of trying Jacks. If I just wanted to grow them, I would put them on my normal feed schedule using GH trio, which works great for me. The point to this was to use Jacks and the provided Jacks feed schedule posted above. That is clearly a train wreck IMO. I started with the Clone formula and the results are in the pics. Now I have upped them to the tap formula and will see if they improve. I also ordered some Jacks 20-20-20 at the advice of some Jacks users so I will continue with some of them on the feeds schedule and some on a new feed schedule with the new Jacks coming.
This is more of a learning experience surrounding Jacks so I want to see it through.
Thanks man, I try. The plants are a bit embarrassing but to be honest, it doesn’t bother me at all, lol. I always said I would show the good, the bad and the ugly. We just got some ugly this time. I expected some hiccups with trying a new nute line but was not expecting it to be this bad. In the end, I will turn the plants around. I am truly surprised the Clone formula, using their feed chart, did so badly but at least I know not to use that again. I still have confidence in the Jacks line and there are some great growers who use it very successfully. I just need to change the feed up and will do so. It’s kind of cool to be learning about using something different. I am sure the advice from other Jacks users will really help so I look forward to seeing the changes.
I did the same thing with GH Trio. Got what they listed on their feed chart and followed it. It was also disappointing but after some tweaking I found the product worked quite well for me. I am sure Jacks will be the same. A little bit of time and a few alterations and it should be good.
I use jacks part A and part B, no epsom, in roughly equal amounts. 1g A per liter, nearly the same B (.93-1g/L. Also ~1mL Fulvic and ~1mL TPS Gold Silica in HP promix. I feed every other day.
My plants aren’t perfect, but on average it works reasonably well for me. I usually have several different things running simultaneously with same feed.
Your plants look great bud. I will turn the plants in this grow around. I got all the time in the world so I am not concerned. I am just enjoying messing with some new nutes. Jacks has so may varieties, my problem was taking their feed chart and buying what’s on it. I should have asked some more Jacks users instead. Much better source for information. Oh well, live and learn.
Hey there OG, finally done work and stuck my head in the tent. They are looking a little better and keep improving. Still not great but at least the stopped yellowing. With some time and a new nute mix these should turn out just fine in the end.

After all the hard work you have put into the seed runs , I was hoping to see a bud run at some point. Nice selections too.
Interested to see how and what you do with the Jack’s program. Have been contemplating that and the plant prod mj lines. Locally they had Future Harvest powdered nutes so grabbed those in desperation. Sure wish general hydro was readily availlable but I can only get it on amazon now and prices vary from steep to ridiculous.

I just want you to know Doug I absolutely understand what you’re doing and think it’s cool as shit are you gonna try to do their fucked up formula and then run it against mine at the same time or are you going to settle on one of the two or somewhere in between
by the way as you well know Doug so this is for some other people it’s nothing you’re doing wrong I cannot believe Jack’s recommends that NPK value for veg it’s just stupid as you’re seeing
