It's time to grow some bud, come on along for the ride

I ran GH for 20 years , will never go back , Jacks flat works , available , cheap . The problems he’s having isn’t caused by him by Doug I mean

I am going to keep running the feed schedule formula at the same time I am running your formula. Probably put 3 of each strain on yours and leave 2 of each strain on the feed schedule. That way I can get some nice healthy plants to smoke while still finishing the experiment. My 20-20-20 shipped today so I should have it soon and can switch them over. I will have to get some measurements regarding the 20-20-20.

On another note, is this the stuff you use all the way through or do you switch it up for flowering?

the dosages in grams is just what gets it to 6.5 or 7pH from what i cold tell, you want to use the columns (PPMs).
i use 200 seedling - 400/500 clone/veg - 600/650 late stage for ppm.

I PH to 6 as I am in coco. The point to this experiment is to use what they list in the amounts they list. I don’t want to be modifying their feed as that would defeat the purpose. I am going to be switching a number of them to a new feed system offered up by a few Jacks growers who use it with great success but will still be leaving some on the feed chart to complete my experiment.

:see_no_evil:

So 20 20 20 all veg and first 3 weeks after flip date . Long veg or older cuts may show sign of low p or K , so every 3rd feed i add in 25 % in addition of 10 30 20 . I add half tea of epsom salt per gallon and same of calmag about every 3 feeds too if needed .So 20 20 20 all veg , salt n cal if needed sporadicly .

week 4 i feed 50/ 50 mix of 20 20 20 and 10 30
20

week 5 straight 10 30 20

week 6 on only 5 12 26

thats it , 3 cans , 4 formulas , use to have 5 formulas , dropped one as not necessary.

i bottom feed constantly , i use 1 tea per gallon on everything above .
In soil thats hot , every 3rd water id do fresh water or a low dose

If you figure out what ppm level you want this plum that into what I do above that simple all you gotta do is substitute your amount per gallon.

@DougDawson

@Papalag does it similar but adds things to it and he might chime in . We have had good luck with it for years now , many many runs .
Think he is at 1/2 tea per gallon . im running big lights , high par , lots of moving air . I also tend to push a bit hard , lol , but thats how i roll.

Between 1/2 and 1 full teaspoon per gallon , 3ml’s right ?? tea is 3 ml i think . WILL be correct rate . I do all in tea and table spoons

I emailed them 3 times over the course of a month or so and got no response. My perception of their customer service is that they suck, lol. I never tried calling them, figured if they cannot be bothered answering my emails then screw them. This is why I ended up buying the 4 products I did, because it was what they listed on their feed chart and could not get them to respond to my questions on which products to buy.

Well gee, at least I have one of those, lol. How much of these are you mixing per gallon?

One teaspoon per gallon on ALL Jacks . Half tea of cal n epsom when used .

like I said that’s for my hot set up I think Papa uses half a teaspoon per gallon if you read my post above I said between half a teaspoon and 1 teaspoon will be proper dosage for you just figure out what ppm level you want and if you have a meter check it if not there’s online calculators they can figure it out real good just by knowing the NPK levels of your feed and how much per gallon you use

when I did the numbers on all this I used a very good online calculator you just plum in the value for NP and K how much you’re using per gallon and it will spit out a total ppm and also break it down When checked against the meter it’s dead on so that’s how I came up with all of these I knew what NPK ratios I wanted during which stages of the plants lifecycle so I could constantly push the plant forward no stalling no going backwards but constant forward motion we call it forward growing

Trust me dude you’re not gonna get anywhere with anyone you talk to who would answer the phone anyone with half a clue who really actually knows wouldn’t be answering a phone

maybe we can teach Jack’s how to use their own damn product lol💥

Personally, I don’t change my ratio with jacks, but for very young seedlings might cut it to ~ half strength. After that, same strength mixture all the way through flower, just adjusting fluid amount so that they need liquid every two days. I don’t even pH anymore.

ii dont ph either unless see problem

Thanks brother.

Of that I have no doubt, lol.

You are in soil are you not? I have to PH in coco or my plants take a huge shit on themselves very fast.

I remember all the way back to 1989 when my mentor showed me the plant foods they were using. Peters (now jacks) 20-20-20 and 10-52-10 (with some powders added custom) I am assuming it was K , Ca and Mg I was never actually told what was in the extra bags. It was a “secret” flowering formula apparently.
We ran the 20-20-20 like @Jetdro mentions above, into the third week of flower then switch to the 10-52-10 plus addatives. By 95 I was running what is basically known as Lucas Formula with general hydro flora. My go to ever since. I will try jacks soon but I’m still in the reading other threads that use it mode so … not yet hehehe

The Jack’s interested me too, but I’m not in a position to have learning curve issues, right now. Local availability sucked. They used to carry lots until I went looking. I switched to GH MaxiBloom. So far, so good, but I’ll update someplace later.

I also use maxibloom. I add silica during veg and early flower. I add some raw K the last week or more to boost the K.

I do basically the same as jet does

Lately I feel 1/2 teaspoon per gal of 10/30/20 plus 1/4 teaspoons per gallon of Epson salts and 15.5/0/0 is plenty the total ppm with my water included equals to 560

If I use the same formula but with 20/20/20 it still works out to around 560 to 600

I only push ppms in week 3,4& 5

I do add things as jet says

I like to add in early veg rhizotonic for root development

And in weeks 3,4&5 canna boost but only raised ppms 100

Yes I started this last grow week 7.5 / 8 at 50 to 75 ppms per feed big difference on the finish

Ok so here we go. I took the 2 plants on the right for each strain and fed them with the tap formula today. Then I mixed 5 teaspoons of 20-20-20 into 5 gallons of water giving me just over 500 ppm and I fed the other 9 with this new formula. Let’s see how it goes from here. Here they are today.

Onward we go. Have a good night OG.

I’ve switched feeds too. Watching for any deficiencies.
