J. Peterman Catalog

(mumbling) …sorry, I haven’t eaten all day and these pretzels are making me thirsty!

Welcome to Mr. Peterson’s catalogue of strains, New York edition.

There are hopes of growing some plants outdoors this season, but for now our Catalog is just featuring indoor tent gardens.

Enjoy

This is a seed run for the Catalog, so PM is not a concern right now.
I might use sulfur since flowering is only just starting, but likely I won’t for this run.

The first round of seeds that were planted were Kushes and Diesels

I think you have got a powdery mildew issue going on…or am I wrong? :eyes:

Looks like it might be pollen that fell, since it’s male plant.

Definitely do
Culled all the plants who got PM the worst.

My phone is being a real Jerry and not letting me upload multiple pictures at a time.

So, I’m going to light up and take a break

Take some milk (not longlife) and mix it with water 1 part milk 8 parts water and spray everything, also under the leaves.
Repeat that a few times and you’ll probably get rid if it.
Then maybe turn up your fans and and have good air exchange.

That’s is one of the best things to fight pm.
But there are different mildews you can get and not all of them respond to the treatment.
Your’s does look like pm though

The cobra lips is still covered in it…and no, that’s not pollen @Il_medical
Have a close look. There’s almost no pollensack open.
I saw one or two, but they’re not even above those spots.

I hope you can get rid of it.
Good luck

That is a lot of mildew that early in the grow. Might be better to just start over and start an IPM regiment that prevents this from happening. These plants would love some neem though

I have to apologize…I was high when I read the beginning and you even mentioned the pm and use of sulphur…I go back to smoking and shut up🫣
Why hasn’t the sulphur worked? Did you not use enough? I’m surprised :open_mouth:

Just a little FYI, I have read that some mildews, particularly downy mildew, can be transmitted through infected seeds, acting as a source of inoculum for future infections.

So just make sure you don’t have any downy if it’s a seed run, not sure if PM does but downy can infect seeds of certain plants.

Some downy mildew pathogens can survive and multiply within the seed itself, allowing the disease to be carried to new plants when the seeds are sown.
Not sure about cannabis but I don’t think it has been studied in cannabis yet like it has in the others that they have learned about down mildew being able to get passed along from seed.
Hope it works out for you.

This would be a complete shutdown and cleanup/sanatizing event for me. No way im making seeds, smoking bud or keeping moms from any plants with mildew. Unfortunately, the spores are everywhere now. Without killing all your plants and thoroughly cleaning every piece of grow equipment and tools you own it is most definitely going to come back. I hate Mildew. Its such a bitch to keep away once you get it. GOOD LUCK!

PM is a ubiquitous organism.
It taking hold is a sign of climate control mismanagement.
With LABs and/or sulfur, PM is no worry.
The idea of having to shut down a grow or discard seeds because of PM is laughable.

We gave you enough hints.
Calling it laughable kinda disrespects the people who tried to help you.

I just hope you don’t try to trade the seeds here now

Well this takes away all the fun for doing this for everyone.

Didn’t even get to post the Snowhigh Congo IX, PipeDream, Zamal, Muslim x Malawi stuff I was going to F2 for everyone.

But ok, I’ll shut down, clean up, and start over.
Not sure where to get those rare seeds though

I would probably just treat it and make sure it is gone before seeds are growing , it’s not systemic but can pass on the surface of seeds, one variety has been show to infect the seed of cucumbers at about a ten percent rate of infection , prob not worth losing rare strains over but something g that needs to be addressed asap

Don’t get me wrong, we all love to share seeds.
But you don’t want to cause someone’s growroom go to shit over this.
It’s easy to make a mistake and all it costs is a bit of time to clean up the mess.
If you need any seeds I’m happy to give you some to start again

I’d also try to save something.
Clean up and take cuttings. There’s still hope, you just gotta put in the effort.
