I do not. Straight up RO water mixed with nutrients. There’s also a little bit of Athena stack in there which does add a bit of color, as it’s brown when it gets mixed in with everything.
Would some of that or any other agents help? Would lowering my ppms a bit by thinning out the water help? Or am I worrying for nothing? It seems like the roots coming directly out of the pot are on the darker side
A hydro grower may have to chime in , but many folks use a Tiny amount of bleach or Hypochlorite (pool shock) in the res. I’m not qualified to suggest how much. I wouldn’t go over a couple drops per gal.
Rhizotonic is great stuff for roots , full of minerals etc promotes rapid root growth and forms a protective barrier around roots , nice to have , good for stress and other things too
You will like it : )
The burnt tips won’t go away on existing leafs but to check if ppm is now fine , look at the very new leafs being growen as the indicator
Ppms are still around 1050. Most new Leaf tips have minor light tips, but everything is still growing strong it seems. Starting a defoliation now. I’ll decide later on today if I’m going to dilute the mix with ph RO water. @ifish
Going to try and find some of that rhizo stuff here locally. Going out today with the wife and Stan, will stop by Hydro shop and see if one of them has anything like that.
Yeah, that’s the curse of having a dog with hair that doesn’t shed. It’s going to be a fun 3-4 hours. We do this every couple of months along with small trims in between.
I’m too cheap to spend money on a professional, plus they really don’t do a great job.
I do Stan differently each time because I don’t know what the fuck I’m doing, LOL. Exactly like my weed growing!
I’ve had Stanlee professionally cut one time only. That was the day after we got him on October 7th 2022. After that, I bought professional grooming tools and been doing it myself since.
But yeah, it is a fucking pain in the ass.
Got my Freight Train Vape and Tabletop Bong ready and waiting. It’s an essential part of the process for me.
Helps to be “lifted” for a grooming session with Stan.
Lots of patience and attention to detail. Guess which I have in spades, and which Im still working on, lol…
Hold tight @Hashpants…Hopefully this coming weekend. Im still worried about the girls.
Not gonna flip if theyre still fighting nute burn (Im guessing). Didnt have the chance to lift covers and check out roots today.
Still need to see how things are over the next few days. Because of the nute burn my second topping has been either delayed or put-off altogether. I did remove a few brances the other day. Blue Dream is recovering a bit from that as well. Nodes removed for training and thinning.
He’s actually pretty good while cutting and trimming. Usually he wont let me use clippers near his face, but yesterday no problem (minimal threats from Stan). Yesterdays problem was paw pads and cutting between them and getting all the hair out. Usually he picks his poison, yesterday was pads, lol.
Went thru more treats than usual, but thats cool…
Lots of little breaks and 20min for lunch. Its stressful, but brings us closer. And he looks really good. Also gave him a really cool “Porn Star Trim” that I cant post here!
And the only Happy Ending" was that the grooming session eventually ended for both of us…Happily.
