You make nice fat buds in that cab, jelly :+1:
What strain is up next?

@Scissor-Hanz
I am either going to reveg and take clones of the Monkeys, or start some sweet tooth #4

Res Washed and refilled at 1.5EC (down from 2.0)
May 21st is the tentative harvest date, depending on my work schedule it could go a couple days later, i’m sure the monkeys won’t mind.

I reckon get ready to pop some Sweet Tooth, the reveg will take some weeks anyway.

Finally started on my cab mods… I am converting it to flood and drain.

Pulled the back panel off, the white is the part that shows inside. (it’s upside down in the pic right now) and marked where I needed to cut out.

Shitty pic but I didn’t have room to get a proper picture. Here you see the tray part of the floor and the darkroom vents installed.

I’d say airflow has improved 10x 77F in the room, (admittedly up top of the cab where all the heat in the room is) And 71F in the middle of the cab!

Edit:
On payday I gotta get the “Big” vinyl tubing for the “Overflow” part on the flood and drain connector,
get some foam to put between the tub and the cab (where you see the sharpie line I drew)
then get one more “tough” tote so when I do res changes I can just move the lid to the already filled tub.
I still have drill the holes for the FND connectors as well. Reseal with caulking and paint fresh wood white for sealing purposes.

Things will be done this weekend.

How much head room did you gain by sinking the tray into the floor?

I gain at least 14cm (5.5ish inches)

 I’m also going to be using shorter/wider pots to I’ll have more height overall.

Used a 1 3/8" step bit to make the holes for my flood and drain fittings. Looking good… Well, I know I need to wash the tub but shhhhh

Now i’m working on my power distribution panel for the cab.

Features will include:

  • Sonoff Pow - Monitor the whole cabs power usage. Fans and all.
  • Sonoff TH16 - Temperature and humidity Sensor. (Switch optional, probably won’t be used yet. Not sure)
  • Sonoff TH16 - Temperature probe that claims to be waterproof for res temp monitoring. If I can find a compact chiller this sensor will control it.
  • Sonoff 4CH Pro Rev 2 - The workhorse of the whole setup. I plan to control the Lights, Pump, and will have two optional outlets to use for God knows what.

I’m just waiting for Sonoff to make a PWM module :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Did a little “make it look less like crap” work today. Didn’t have much time with all the errands and shit today.

Stone/sandy texture paint, splattered with chrome paint. I shoulda used a bristle brush instead of a sponge to splatter, but looks cool enough.

Overall. Gonna add some stickers/labels once everything is all wired in.

Edit: Also used wood filler and sanded the surface before I painted it. not really needed either, just the little details lol.

So I got my power panel done.

Features include what I listed above. I have 6 app controllable outlets,
2 are “constant” as long as the sonoff pow is on. (I use the sonoff pow like the main breaker for the panel)

Made a power supply cord, twist lock connector. A little ass backwards as far as power cords go, but I don’t care lol.

Here’s the front of the finished panel.
The top row of outlets go like this.
Channel 1 - Channel 2 - Channel 3 - Channel 4
The bottom row:
First two are always on - TH16 1 - TH16 2

Here’s my rats nest of wires. I opted to use ACTUAL lever lock wago’s, as they give me piece of mind they are actually making a good connection.

Wouldn’t ya know, the devices show up in alphabetical order… Well, Gonna have to rename the “Sonoff POW” to “Breaker Monitor” so it’s first in the list.

A view of the sensor attached to TH16 1 giving me real time data.

F’in amazing this technology. Thanks again @anon58740919 without you I wouldn’t have gotten any of this automation gear.

Once I install it i’ll give everyone my thoughts on the functionality

Manual like override brother to the most. Glad I could do my bit to repay you. Even though you repaid me. Well my Mrs PayPal. Either way there’s a lot of love between us to say we never met. and this has cheered me up massively. I think you will have it dialled in in no time at all. I’m pretty excited to see how the pow does. I did a whole lot of looking at them but my ammeter is like a signature now lol

That reminds me, I switched my network SSID and password when I got my new modem. I need to reconnect all of mine. :scream:

Got the panel installed where I want it

This is the power draw of
My little 3” circulation fan,
Cloud line t4
Zomodo wifi camera

And this is with my light on!

Still only using about 4a with everything on. Woot!

Edit: The 4ch pro r2 does not allow for loop timer functions so I guess it’s a good thing I have two of the TH16 switches, they will allow me to run my pump in as low as 1 minute increments. I will find out how long I need to run the pump to flood the tray sometime soon then decide on a schedule for flooding frequency.

Got most my settings figured out (as much as I can right now anyways)

@ReikoX you’ll have to delete all your devices from the app and re-add them

Yeah, I was able to do the cameras easily. But the Bluefish and Sonoff I will need physical access. Unfortunately that means removing the top of my workbench (PITA).

So Lots to report, doesn’t look like much but it was a lot of “little things” that added up to a full night of work.

I caulked and painted around the edges.

As you can see, I installed the Sonoff’s Temp and Humidity sensor. That’s the little black thing screwed to the wall of the cab!

Some interior cable management. (Did this with the camera’s power cord too)

Lots and lots of zip ties to “bundle” the wiring on my power panel together. As you can kind of see, I also took care of most the under the cab wires (light, ventilation, the only one not “managed” is the little 3" circulation fan)

So, Kinda hard to see, got the holes drilled for the reservoir, tubing cut, wired, plumbed, basically res is hooked up and working as intended. Takes roughly 3 minutes to fill up enough that the overflow tube drains back into the reservoir.

Things left to do before i’m RTR again:

  • Level the floor of the cab.
I’ll do this using door shims and then a 2x4 screwed to the legs once it’s all level (2x4 will sit even with the floor) That way it’s more sturdy and I can undo the leveling when I move the cab to the new house.
  • Get foam for under the flood tray.
Still some light leaks through it, but only interior to exterior. No light gets in from outside.
  • Build a double door so it more closely resembles a cabinet.
This may or may not actually get done lol.

Thanks for hanging out with me while I ranted and raved, cut and drilled, cursed and well, ya’ll get the point.

I miss the days when people actually talked in my thread haha.

Awww… you would say that.

My plastidoor works… it’s not elegant but it does work lol. I guess I do need somewhere to put stickers though.
