Jinglepot’s Grow and Adventures

I’ve was reading DJ Short’s book “Cultivating Exceptional Cannabis” last weekend and he mentioned ‘Backwards Hermaphrodites’ (males that later sprout female flowers).
He said these were usually sterile but when they are not, they would produce predominately female progeny and you can virtually guarantee no regular herms.
Clarke identifies them as intersex males but I need to review exactly what else he said about them.

Cheers

First smoke of the God Bud, dried, not cured. Smokes very smooth, earthy tones and that typical Dank God bud taste. I could swear I taste a bit of grape, but its gotta be the colour playing with my mind :joy:. Fairly heavy stone, perfect for forgetting my back pain. Heavily laden with trichomes on the sticky, dense buds. Glad I bred it and kept the Genetics going.

My plants for the flower room all thinned, pruned, topped, defoliated and sprayed for pests and spores. They get another spray (different product) next week, then week after transplanted to 5 gallons then moved to the flower room and flipped to flower the week after that.
There are OG Kush, Bubba Kush, God’s Master Kush, Molokai Frost and Blueberry.

These are my breeder females that will follow the same procedure as my above post but will stay in the tent for their remainder.
There are Molokai Frost, Blueberry, Sunshine #4, God Bud, OG kush and Bubba Kush to be bred with pollen from Purple Paonia Paralyzer and Dragon Blood Hash Plant from @DougDawson and @BigMike55 respectively

Thanks! I’ve kept a couple females going, I may end up selfing one of the girls

Depends if the plant is for breeding or for consumption. I use the most toxic shit known to man for my breeders, but never during flower or seed production. For my flower plants for consumption I use various things. For molds and other spores I spray with straight 3% peroxide every couple weeks (I also do a peroxide diluted in h2o watering every few weeks. Brings extra oxygen molecules to the roots and breaks down old tissue, great stuff!) For aphids or any other soft bodied insect, ill spray skim milk. Theu are all lactose intolerant and absorb the milk through their skin…ugly deaths… and beneficial to the plants!.. for mites, depending on what stage my plants are at, (2 different products 1 week apart for killing mites, they build up tolerances and the eggs don’t always die) usually they are in veg… I’ll buy safers mite spray for first spray and/or use dish soap water, rosemary oil and water.

Fantastic info thank you. So you do 3% Peroxide H2O diluted soil drenches every few weeks. Sounds interesting  . Just helps maintain good microbes in the soil.?

Prevention is the best mite killer, ive only ever had mites indoors when brining outdoors inside to finish off. All my tents and rooms are sterilized before each grow and my plants are treated while small

So, what is the good toxic shit you use for breeders?

It’s good for the roots, more oxygen means more uptake. I’m not sure about microb specifics

Ask your local hydroponics shop for the stuff behind the counter

Depends on the dude behind the counter I guess lol!

Litterly 1% milk in a spray bottle? Hit plants just before lights out? Daily? Kills spider mites also.?

Not for spider mites. Only soft bodied insects…ive only ever used it for aphids, haven’t had any other infestations, lol. 50/50 milk/water
