Johnnypotseed’s 3-ring circus - with autos, photos & sex…reversals, that is! (Part 1)

I almost had possum this morning. When I let Loki out at 4:30, he walks to the edge of the deck, and then darts into the yard. Immediately I recall him, and for once he listens! Well, listens during the heat of the moment!

That possum played dead, and it worked, dog had just barely grabbed him, froze when I recalled, and the possum got to walk away. 2 seconds more without the recall, and Loki would have violently shaken the possum to death. I think they are kinda ugly critters, but how many tick they eat? The fact that they carry no diseases? cant even get rabies? Yeah, the possum is welcome in this yard, gotta make the dog aware of that… He is 3 for 3 on the groundhogs who torment him though

I didn’t know possums eat ticks, that’s cool, they’d be welcome here too, those little things scare the living shit out of me, too many stories of lymes really fucking people up. That “Maggie’s Farm” bit was my attempt at a bad dad joke, referencing the Dylan song of same name. I know the boys in Phish started/practices at a farm in Monkton, was it named “Maggie’s farm”

Monkton, not knowlton… thats right… Yes Maggies Farm is John Paluska’s place (their manager).

Possums can eat up to 5,000 ticks in a season. HELL YEAH they are welcome here, we need more of em! Way too many ticks these days!

Even worse, my dog was treated for Lyme last spring, he should be nicer to the possums so there are less ticks!

I like scotch bonnets, I think they are hotter than ghost and reaper.

Really? Wow… gotta ask… grown in wetter or drier environment? I hear and have experienced drier = hotter with a few peppers I have shared with local Gardeners

Bought all 3 together at the same time with a couple of other types and tried individually and together. I think some peppers react differently depending on the person, just like weed, two different people can smoke the same weed and get differing effects.

I find the scotch bonnets have a higher zingy heat as best as I can describe it, and the effects last longer than the reaper, ghost, Thai green and red, habenero. Kashmir red chilli is more mellow and flavourful compared to them.

I think with a lot of peppers there is a lack of flavour as the heat reaction takes precedent as a survival mechanism in your brain lol and taste goes out the window :joy:

The day my mind untwists is the day I lay down and die. You know what the biggest issue with it has always been? Stuff just comes out half the time with zero thought so I’m hearing it for the first time just like everyone else. Add to it that I really get my sense of humor and I not only laugh at my own jokes but sometimes I’m laughing the hardest

Morning folks!
