Good morning @JohnnyPotseed Good morning everyone.

Good morning all! I’m happy you’re doing alright @G-paS ! Now comes the heal and PT. Work that dang shoulder as much as the therapist will allow. I got full mobility back in mine but I’ve seen what happens when people don’t push the PT until they achieve that. The results are hard to live with.
God Bless.
Hey, now. We have @G-paS back!!!
Glad you’re ok kiddo! You had me worried.
Did they do the “pain block” deal? Supposed to keep you from hurting so much for a few days.
Do as much PT as you can stand. It really works. You’ll be as good as new in a couple weeks.
Good morning OG…late arrival today.
Nice to hear from @G-pas.
Morning y’all, the snow finally found us here in the green mountains, bout fuckin’ time
I won’t be mad if the snow skips us entirely this winter! All we’ve had on this property is a couple of light dustings. The roads around Tulsa, some are a mess.
When it’s not pain that wakes me, it might be my ears ringing.
@crownpoodle
I have to keep a fan running in the bedroom even in Winter to tone down the tinnitus from keeping me up too. Someone fired a .38 revolver about a foot from my ear. It blew out my right eardrum. Ever since then that dang ringing has been part of my 24-7 existence.
I hate to think about anyone else living with this.
Tinnitus absolutely blows.
I’m lucky that my case is quite mild compared to some.
That sucks brother. My wife has that in both ears after blowing them out when she got mono as a youngster. Had a horrible feaver. She wears hearing aids as she has issues with certain tones. Nothing worse than a sound you can’t make go away.
The wife has inner ear issues, most of the time not bad but when it is I really feel sorry for her. Not a good feeling she assures me.
@DougDawson
My brothers and I were target shooting and we always wear hearing protection. This guy that was invited to join us started laughing at us for doing so and I informed him in no uncertain terms just how ignorant he was. Dad taught us well about this thing.
I guess he thought he would be “funny” or he got pissed. I’m not very diplomatic when it comes to stupidity. While I was reloading, he walked up behind me and fired over my shoulder. It’s like being slapped with a 2x4 up side the head.
My brother saved me from going to jail that day.
When I was in the Navy, Electronics Tech - Radar, I was working in the crows nest when the gunners decided to shoot the 72mm cannon. I heard the cannon’s warning buzzer but had my hands near high voltage so I tried to lift my shoulder to partially block one of my ears. Sadly, I wasn’t able to block much sound and the other ear was completely uncovered and experienced the full shock of the blast. My damned ringing ears still wake me up at night with the extremely loud ringing sounds to this day. Needless to say, nowadays I prefer to remain in quieter areas just to minimize the constant ringing and try to maximize the life of the hearing I have left.
I hate that @herojuana.tom
Silence is my enemy now. Background noise keeps me from experiencing just ringing. That is hard to deal with. At least a fan helps somewhat but I protect my ear that’s still good as much as possible.
When hunting it sounds like everything is coming from my left. lol
I’m like an owl out there trying to figure out what direction the sound is coming from.
@DougDawson
Does your wife have to have that background sounds when she tries to sleep?
I honestly love that ringing noise you get from a good day of shooting
…I Did anyway till I pulled my head out of my ass
I shit you not one day three people individually shot over 500+ Ramset pins into steel I beams to fasten our clips for metal framing …
And damn my ears were ringing the whole way home knuckles were bloodied up everything was muffled … one of those days where u just pull into the driveway and just sit there not wanting to move …
I could not imagine dealing with that unwillingly everyday !
My left ear is the ear I hear out of too.
I dont know how you can hunt, about 10 years ago I went skeet shooting and got one shot off. Even though I had foam inserts in my ears and was also wearing ear muffs, my ears were ringing so bad after that that I walked away and have never touched a gun since then. My ears ring so bad that if I turn on any noise whatsoever, they become completely overbearing with the ringing, so nowadays I just try to stay in a zone of silence whenever possible.
My brother bought me some battery powered shooters earmuffs. They allow some sound through except when you fire off a round. Then the noise cancelling kicks in. Those things are about the only way I can fire a rifle without pain and terrible ringing for the rest of the day.
No, my wife has a gift. She has the ability to go to sleep in seconds. I am very envious of her ability to do that. She just closes her eyes, and she is out snoring at me, lol. She also doesn’t use an alarm clock. Just sets a time in her head and wakes up at that time. It’s quite remarkable.
That makes sense, a noise cancelling headset. Sadly I have tried a Bose noise cancelling headset, but would swear that the noise cancellation makes my ears feel numb and increases their ringing
