I just got back up myself, to see that post waiting.
Right on schedule though, 2 hours laying down. Now I get to sit up for a couple hours before the pain won’t let me anymore lol

With the wife’s help I did manage to get out to the barn this morning.(in 27Ftemps) We worked together and got a lot done though. I pollinated 1ea of ISS, BC, & Frankie with some Fem Frankie dust. We got all plants fed good with nutrient mix, and finished potting up the new clones. Then back in, and hurting like hell from that bit of exercise! lol But no pain, no gain. I need this homespun PT!

I have a 2x2 where I “sleep”. Always some bkg fan going. Radio. TV. Something.
Got mine running big printing presses for 30 years. With hearing protection. The guys who didn’t wear any are mostly deaf, with tinnitus for company.

Young people (including me back when) have no idea what they are setting themselves up for by neglecting their hearing.
How many concerts did I sit through without any thoughts about what all that was doing to my hearing?
Then that idiot of course.

Tinnitus is one of the least of my concerns lol I got my left eardrum blasted out in Nam '68. High pitched noise hurts like hell,(grandkids shrieks) and the constant noise is ‘background’ … until it takes the foreground. Then it hurts like hell.
The grandkids shrill high yells, etc don’t bother me (too much) as long as they’re to my right…

I find that women that have high pitch voices and kids are hard to understand.

Unfortunately my wife doesn’t have a high pitched voice. I can’t use that as an excuse for not listening… I mean hearing clearly.

I feel this. Ear infections, BAD ONES, bled out my hearing holes. So now I call the bastard “Tony” so I have someone to yell at. When the humidity peaks and there’s a low pressure system I get seriously fucked up. One time I just kept going into crowds or near construction sites just to hide from the sound in my own head. 
Now as an adult I found out my ear tubes don’t work. So I have to pop my ears often or I loose a chunk of high-end. For example I was in the Dollar store and someone said to another person: “I hate this song”… I freaked, I didn’t hear ANY MUSIC but then popped my ears and bang… MUSIC.
The speakers were tin-shit-throwers which meant that it was out of my hearing range when the pressure tube was in the wrong config.
This does come in handy when sudden loud noises occur as I can reverse pop em resulting in an instant decibel cut.

We usually keep the overhead fan going also. The hum it makes helps disguise ‘other’ noises…
only sometimes that damn thing runs too quite!
Plus it pushes the warm air back down to where it does some good! lol

For about a year after I had that happen there was times I couldn’t here you talking to me five feet away.
Folks don’t realize how much it’ll get to you. I imagine it’s like that Japanese water drop torture.
