Dusty is pretty much my shadow. If I go to smoke a bowl she lays right next to me. As close as she can get. Hell, even when I go to the bathroom she is right there waiting for me to finish. Crazy outfit.

Last year a snake got in the house. She found it and alerted her Daddy.
Almost never see bugs and spiders. So I’m sure she keeps that cleared out too.

We call her my ‘medi-cat’… she HAS to be in the bed when I go lay down. If I stop breathing in my sleep, she’ll meow loud in my ear, or sink a claw in me (not too deep) I’ll wake up gasping/choking and coughing. But I DO wake up.

I used to hate cats. I think it was because when I was a kid, my grandma stayed with us. She had an old cat that would use the tub for her litter box. Guess who was in charge of cleaning up the shit?
But as an adult, I have found that the only people who don’t enjoy a cat are people who have never had a cat. They are awesome, smart, independent animals. Plus you can leave some food for a few days and they will be fine. Dog? You hafta find someone to come and feed and take care. But I do love dogs. I’m pretty much an animal person.

When we went walking through the shelter looking at the cats to find one, she reached out through the cage to me. Kinda let me know she wanted me. lol I got more pics of her on my knee, lap, or beside the keyboard than a little bit. lol She likes to ride my walker, wherever I go.

It has been my observation over the years that dogs have owners. Cats have staff.
Cats play a vital role on a farm and when they decide they like a person they stay pretty close.
We call our barn/greenhouse cat Miss Kity from Gunsmoke…

When we’re here, the only way they’d hurt someone is lick em to death trying to get attention. but they would probably tear someone a new ass if they came in here. lol Our oldest son opened the back door without announcing and they went charging barking/growling until they saw it was him. lol
