I had the windshield taken out of a 53 Buick Special one year when I was driving down a back road. I was doing around 55 when it hit. Before I could get it shut down I had zero visibility through a shattered windshield and hail coming down in sheets. There was no sticking your head out the window to see to drive. All I could do was come to a stop as close to the drop on my right side as possible and pray I didn’t over shoot and roll down the 80’ hill to the river below.
You know how thick the sheet was on those old cars. It left divots in that metal!
I can’t imagine being on a bike and running into that.

I was out surfing when a hail storm came thru. You could see it coming. No place to hide sitting on a surfboard. Ouch!
