I just moved him between the garage and the guest house think he’ll be ok to check once a day? Or should I try and cover him more
That’s why I said the pollen will get ruined if you bag the plant.
Are you just trying to make some pollen for seeds, just to see if you can🤔
You really need a designated enclosed space where the pollen can be contained, when that starts dropping pollen, it will be in the air everywhere, and you will be getting sparodic seeding on all your flowering plants probably.
Better to do it properly with the right set up, unless you like surprise seeds in your buds
Yeah I was trying wanting to do it to put some experience under my belt just to get a feel for it the only flowering plants I have are inside the guest house I wasn’t sure if it’d mess with the vegging plants or not if it reached over to them but it’s not windy inside that little cove so I’ll let it ride and just check once a day till I start seeing them pop then just try and collect some in a tube that the seeds came in if I can find one
I built a small cabinet 40 inches high, 3 x 3 ft, enough to get 2 or 3 small plants in it. Dont need much light, and just a good micron filter on the exhaust air port, if its near flowering plants.
That way you can collect pollen easily and it doesn’t get spoilt from humidity or damp weather.
Ah cool idea maybe I will create something similar in the future
Well still nothing going on so I unplugged the supplementals since qt this point they’re just doing more harm that good and hooked the drip system back in been a while since I’ve watered was letting bed dry out a bit really doesn’t take much going to try running 1 minute every Monday
Good call, the lights are just burning them up, and stressing them out.
Couple of these are starting to smell like orange peels I’ve been pushing them up into the tomato cages so they have extra base support when when they get bigger had some brief strong winds last night
Just killed the male he took some rot damage and just not worth it anymore just gonna try and build @Shadey batbox
Totally off topic but thanks to @Badger I now listen to Creedence clearwater and just bought a gee tar thanks
It’s funny cuz CCR sings about Cajun life of the Deep South but they are from San Francisco lol
I am honored sir.
Guess I need to brush up on my history. All I know is the music is great.
I wondered cause they sing born on the bayou (great song) but they didn’t look to fit the part at all that’s funny
Nice plant!
Very nice plant, shaping up nicely, how tall is she atm.
About 4.5ft but I buried it pretty deep since I used the excavator and took out a big chunk of earth its all shale here I hate it like clay so it just sticks in one clump I just scooped a hole dropped her in then dropped the clump and patched up around it
You have the same type of ground, we have here. Shale and clay is not fun for planting in, I wish I had an excavator, takes an hour to dig a 2x2x2 ft hole by hand and drainage is crap.
She is a good size, should get pretty tall by chop time.
Man that spot is a killer grow area between the house and guest house.
