Just for today I promise I will not buy that $150 pack of seeds I already have the genetics for in 15 different crosses and 10 thousand seeds that I will never grow or can possibly give away. Just for today I will not pull out that jar of seeds in the bottom of my fridge and pick through to find the one that I want to grow again that I have no space for. Guaranteed way for the “beans you neeeed” but have never seen before to become available is to make a seed budget, and use it up. Next day, crazy stuff will drop , 100% haha.

I can’t relate to that at all. I think I choked the first time I saw someone post that their seed collection would be their kids inheritance.
I understand the 100 different versions of the same genetics. What gets me is the genetics that fall outside of that group.

There is just something about having a pack of seeds in your hand, the potential life is invigorating. And not just weed seeds either haha.
After my grandmother passed away, I was depressed as fuck. There was a discount store near me that had the giant burpee seed rack. There were times were I went there just to be out of the house, in a daze. Scan the seed rack, find something that speaks to me, and bring it home. It was a $3 therapy session every time. Planting them and seeing them grow, even more so.
