If you can’t get the law to in force it nothing happens. They arrested a woman the other day for calling the law own squatters in her house. I remember in Myrtle Beach if you spent the weekend with someone they couldn’t kick you out. You were considered a resident. But anyway, hopefully they can get taken care of this. It was just a conversation. I would definitely get them out of my house. I even see where you can have problems trying to sell your home with them in it. My mom has a friend that has lived in a house for years and they can’t get rid of her.

This is correct. I had a person living with me for a few weeks because he was down and out. Let him use an unoccupied bedroom I had. Caught him smoking crack in the room and told him I couldn’t have that in the house as I had a young boy that I didn’t want to expose that to. He pretty much told me he would do what he wanted. So I told him to leave and he refused. I called the police to see what they could do to help and they told me there was nothing they could do. I ended up physically removing him from my place and let him know in terms he would understand not to return. Down the road I found out he stole $500
I had stashed but it was probably worth it to get rid of him.

Yeah, I’ve been burned by helping out a “friend” like that. Lost a wife and most of my shit when I put her out. lol

My brother is a crack head. Been in jail several times. Will steal anything. They get this look. Hard to explain. Always wanting more. I’m trying to think of the word. lol
