Haha, sorry, man, I saw your post right after my Cali Cannon review and just assumed thatās what you were talking about. Yeah, the Headbangers all turned out really good. Probably some of my favorite weed in the last two or three years. Glad I have a lot of those seeds left, for sure. Once I get my cloning skills down, Iāll do a larger run and try to find a keeper or two. Or three. It was hard deciding which one was best. They were all really good. No true āSour Dieselā elements, though. I canāt remember offhand, but one or two of them had a little bit of a real Sour Diesel-type thing going on, but the longer they cured, the less they tasted/smoked like that.
Good weed, though, for sure.

Okay, Iām all ears. I bought one of those cloning-mister things a while back (and the place I ordered it from fucked up and sent me two, soā¦ bonus). Iāve actually only tried to clone twice. I used the rooting-puck things, soaked in fulvic and aloe and the first time I did it, years ago, I took cuts of the Mountain Temple and the Goji and they both started growing roots. But I came home one night in a cocaine-and-Jack Daniels-induced stupor and tossed them. I have no idea why or what my train of thought was there, but I was just like,āFuck these clones.ā They were growing roots, though, for sure. I remember that. Kind of haha.
The second time, I just think I didnāt take big enough cuts. And I didnāt really put a lot of effort into them. Those were in the pucks, too. Iām gonna take clones from the current grow, once the plants get old enough, but thisāll be my first time using the hydro/mister thing. Iām stoked. I think itāll work fine, but yeah, Iām always open to any advice.

Right there with you. Now itās just weed and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I actually feel proud to tell people,āNope, havenāt done any blow in almost three years.ā It isnāt even tempting anymore. I just fully lost any desire to sniff it. And I used to loooooove that shit, but not any more. The thought of doing it kind of grosses me out, actually.
Itās a great drug when youāre single. Iāve had sooooo many nights/days/whatever spent with chicks that I brought home from strip clubs and afterhours and fucked for like 48 hours. Lots of three-ways and shit. But now that Iām settled down, thereās no point haha. It is not fun to be high as fuck, out in the suburbs, girlfriendās been asleep for hours, no place to go, nobody to hang out with (because we live in the suburbs now), no afterhours close byā¦ Yeah. Fuck cocaine. Iām too old for that shit now haha!

I never really had any drama. No matter what drugs Iām on, I donāt do drama.
Way back in the day, like twenty years ago, I used to freebase the fuck out of cocaine. And did a lot of crystal, too. But I never got weird or anything. Iād be up for like 70 or 80 hours straight, but I never got all twitchy and tweak-y and whatever. I dunno why, but it never made me weird.

I actually have had really good luck, if you wanna call it that, with every grow. The only plant out of everything Iāve ever run that I was super-unhappy with was the Purple NL2 from the last grow. Other than that, everythingās turned out pretty dang good. Seriously. I think itās just a matter of running seeds from good breeders. The overwhelming majority of the seeds Iāve grown have been Bodhiās gear; his stuff seems pretty foolproof.
Take this run, for instance. I really didnāt like the structure of the Starkillers, they were floppy and had weak stems. And I found like ten male sacs on one of them, too, which was a first. But the flowers themselves turned out very good. Nice and stony. I didnāt do a smoke report for them, but thatās just because I lost interest in this grow report haha.
But yeah, I havenāt had any trouble finding good plants every run. Knock on wood and fingers crossed and all that haha.

Yeah, itās weird. With weed, I need like as much variety as I can get. Itās why I always grow like four or five different strains at a time, of one or two or three females, when what I should be doing is proper pheno-hunts, with like only one or two strains and more females. But I never get sick of the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Itās all I drink, except when summertime rolls around. Then I jump all over Anderson Valleyās Summer Solstice. Thatās the best beer Iāve ever drank. I usually buy like fifty cases of it when itās available. Fucking seasonal beersā¦

Iām aware of that haha. I worked at a restaurant called the Eveleigh about ten years ago. Itās on the Sunset Strip, run by a couple of Aussies. And they would tell me crazy stories about how expensive blow was in Australia and about people bringing it in in their butts and whatever. I was just like,āHmmmmā¦ Maybe I should figure out a way to import blow to Australiaā¦ā haha. Didnāt do it. Obviously.

Check this doco out of you havenāt seen it, these guys were on track to being far better skaters than Tony Hawk then the drugs took over, some bungled attempts at cocaine smuggling too. Crazy story

I havenāt heard of that one, but Iāll check it out. Have you seen āRising Son,ā that documentary about Christian Hosoi? Itās really good and interesting. And kind of a bummer haha. Same kind of story: got all wrapped up in crystal and then busted for smuggling etc etc. The relationship between him and his dad was kind of fascinating. They interviewed another skater in that film and he was like,āChristianās dad had that goooood greeeeeeen bud, we would smoke it before every contestā¦ā haha!

Yeah, my favorite line from that movie was when they were interviewing some skater and he said,āChristian would have like six pairs of shades hanging off of him, all over his body. And the pair he was wearing didnāt even have lenses in them!ā haha. Classic.
