Just listened to it ,they did not mention what the story is with the seeds from “Rez” just that they were good. Where did Rez get them from is the next question in the story.

Yeah. Rez is a pretty controversial figure. I know he was arrested and that somewhere you can find the transcript from his trial. He used to trade beans by all accounts so my guess is he landed them from someone. Karma mentions he had to “clean” the beans he got from Rez because there were hermie traits in but you would’ve heard that. Unless Rez resurfaces and divulges, it’s all gonna be conjecture.

The story was that it begun with outcrossing a Sour Diesel female clone (ECSD) to NYC Diesel male from Soma Seeds. Then that cross, the SD/NYCD was used as the male back to the Sour Diesel female clone to make a backcrossed generation, think he called it Sour Diesel BX 1.5. Then males from that backcrossed to the ECSD female to make BX 2.5. One more backcrossed generation and he called it Sour Diesel V3 or was it ECSD V3? The last backcrossed generation he named Sour Diesel IBL.

Karma said he made his Sour Diesel seeds by first crossing a female clone that he found in Sour Diesel seeds from Reservoir Seeds with a Biker Kush V1 male, the cross was called Headbanger. Karma then used the Headbanger cross to pollinate the Sour Diesel female clone again (backcross 1) and did it one more time to get to Bx2 and so on…

Awesome plants. Where do yall get your stakes & what kind of wood are they. Thanks!

And he didn’t do a good job either. Two packs of headbangers and a pack of Sowahh’s all hermed on me at 2-3 weeks in flower. Hell some even hermed in veg, the preflowers were showing both sexes.

My understanding is, you can find Sour in karma’s sour work, but good luck finding any gas/diesel to go along with that.

Thanks brother. I grabbed some dowels from Home Depot’s lumber section. They were a little under a dollar a piece. Probably should’ve gone up a size because some colas are leaning like the Tower of Pisa haha.

Sorry to hear. All I can detail is my own experience. So I’ve grown out a few packs of Headbanger and the Sowahhs. From the original packs of Headbanger, I got one female which was sour gas diesel. It did different things depending on what time of year it finished. So in cold temps, it purpled and as well as the sour diesel gas, you’d get a slight berry-ish taste and in warmer temps it would be slightly more lemon/lime citrus. But everey time it would be sour diesel gas. I kept that Headbanger as a cut for 5 years and grew out another couple of packs looking for a male to make seeds. The high from the Headbanger was very strong and body was also affected but not to the point of incapacity. I used it to be very high but also be creative because it helped the imagination. People that sampled that pheno more than occasionally found it too strong and would wait for it to age and degrade before they could handle it.
But from those packs, I never got one herm or pollen sack apart from one grow where sciarid larvae were in the compost I used and I’d find a seed here or there in lower bud sites.
The Sowahh, for me at least was also potent but I actually found it spacier - as in my attention would wander more. So I prefer the Headbanger but yeah, never had it hermie.
I found when I outcrossed with it, the potential to develop male flowers increased but I crossed with some other vars (things like GSC which I’m pretty fed of anyway) that you’d also expect to find dropping pollen and then some other stable vars, that didn’t.
Karma does say both these vars are not easy to grow and as I never had any major problems, I always wondered why he said that. He has said that the Sour Diesel male doesn’t throw a lot of pollen which is why packs are few and come at a premium.
Anyway, he’s on IC so you can go ask him. I asked if he’d worked the lines any further than the original Headbanger release as I grew out a few packs a few years apart and was concerned I wouldn’t be getting the same thing. He said the parents were the same. For some reason, a few people on here disputed that. I don’t know why. I don’t think he’s ever rubbed any one up the wrong way so was surprised but that’s other peoples business.
I can confirm that there was plenty of sour gas/diesel in.

I’ve been growing Karma Genetics gear since 2016 but I have not grown any of his more recent gear. Back then an old timer and long time grower friend mentioned Karma to me and said that I should really try and find some biker kush and old grandpa scratch… so I went to the former Seedbay and I literally cleaned them out of all remaining stock of those two strains and I picked up where’s my bike, happy brother and I got a bunch of 24K as freebies.
The Biker was the Version 1 , today’s version is different. I liked the biker so much that I made F2’s of my favorite slightly tangerine OG female with 2 ridiculous males and then worked thru those beans until I found the plants to make F3… taking the biker in my own direction towards that tangerine funk. I have a Biker V1F3 male that is a keeper in my room.

Old Grandpa Scratch… well I don’t have the space or time to express my fondness for this line. These were part of Karma’s Limitted series and only 100 packs were released. I managed to buy up the last of the legit beans at seedbanks and I hunted thru those finding some pretty exotic plants as far as terpenes and highs go. I found in those seeds one truly exceptional specimen I call my Precious cut, and made several crosses that I can now work into my own lines.

24K… interesting seeds. They were hard to germ but nice plants that did survive. Typical christmas tree type structure, really nice plants over all. They did show some intersex in the final weeks. One pheno was just awesome and such a pleasure to smoke… kind of a cheesy funk to the jar but man… tasted so awesome and had a slight citrus funk in there too.

Skullcap Headstash… I was a tester for these and they did express intersex early in flower.
I tried again with some Skullcap seeds a friend gifted me that he got from one of the seedbanks overseas and while I did get some intersex it was right near the finish. Exceptional smoke though… flavor bombs and very potent.

Crumbled Lime — I was also a tester for these. Some really unique citrus plants… i really enjoyed growing the crumbled lime and I made F2 with one really exceptional candy lime female. Have yet to revisit those seeds. I might have been out of line making those seeds afer being a tester but that girl was so awesome I just had too.

I am personally going to stick with the seeds I have made from Karma’s older stuff and am not going to chase all these new releases. I did jump all over the tonygreen/karma Collaboratons though… the G-unit, RIL x Sowahh and the Bubblehead fems… so far with the G-Unit and Bubbleheads … tony green’s work shines through. (big fan of tony’s breeding ethic and methods)

anyhow I could fill pages with pics of the karma gear I have grown and have nothing but respect for his work. Takes a bit of skill to grow some of his stuff though and failures to adapt to the somewhat fussy nature of the genetics at play…or a failure to prevent plant stresses will result in intersex expression. Or so I have found. The Biker V1 , Happy Brother and the Old Grandpa Scratch… solid genetics and so happy I snagged a bunch of packs before they all vanished into weed history.

Menards. Green plastic coating with a metal core so they are strong and last forever. Multiple lengths available. I got a bunch of them for plants and tomatoes. About $1 each depending on how tall.

Smoke report on Sowahh 2022 edition. This is as close to the real NYC Sour Diesel I smoked in late 2013. Dark green dankish sticky. I ran it fast and short, but I know there is more in there. I noticed the first time I smoked it wow it really takes you to the clouds like that roller coaster Millennium Force . I did not even think about smoking for several hours. I went thru about a eighth and man this is some of the most powerful weed you can get for a wider leaf variety. I made some crosses and will let you know how they go. Looking forward to growing out the rest of the pack as well. There should be some winners in a F2 of the Bx4. I give Karma’s Sowahh a 5 star rating. A Must have and a Must grow. Not much yield but makes up for it in power. I would just top chop and veg it for a long time then flower her out. You forget you have a body… all you are is floating eyeballs. Good shit.

I’ve got a pack waiting to pop. Good to read how it worked out for you. Can’t wait to grow them myself!

Hey guys,
In February 2022 I bought a pack of Biker kush, I opened 10 seeds, 4 females and 6 males came, today I have a cut of one female and two males, but I have seeds (F2) of all females. The drop I got was at ATT, there it just said Biker kush, I can’t tell if it’s v1 or v2

I really enjoyed this race, I found wonderful females, the males I didn’t take to the end, but the ones I used in the cross were the most beautiful plants in the vegetative stage. The flavor, taste and smell varied between kush, earthy and herbal, the selected cut leaves something a little spicy on the palate.

I loved growing seeds of Karma genetics. grow a Sweets too, the hay came out pulled to SD and I’m currently taking a Mango Lassi

Maybe it’s better so for my Piggy bank

Silver Mt is one of my keepers yes and the Sowahh x Silver Mt. seeds are ready you can have a pack for free no need to buy anything. I have to admit tho it is worth the time and effort to get a pack from Karma seeds and make things by you’re own selection. I got really nice phenos from the breeder set of seeds but you may have chosen a different plant… Will help as I can though.
