Keeping Sativas small with Upstate

I was really happy this morning.
Yesterday I went through the plants and cleaned up all the sad/tired ratty looking lowers. What a difference that made.
When I walked out this morning they all looked just great.
Starting to take on individual character of their own.
I’m breathing a little easier that I’ve made it to this point.
Appreciate this thread

As an example for anyone that comes along like I did - finding this thread. Wondering if this technique can be applied outdoors?

Here’s a picture I took from last season on June 21st of my 3 chosen females from a pk of regulars.
These were given a 24hr start on lighting on 4/15- popped 4/20 and moved to the back porch to wait until time to plant.

I took this picture this morning of #16
Popped 4/20 - using the 12/12 start and tec in this thread.

The previous plants. They are just sticks. Comparatively
Limited side branching - tall for their base.
They worked out fine though.

I’m much happier with this years results. The structure. Side growth, size.
I’m going to continue on with the size control plan/root restrictions because that fits my needs.
You could take these now and put them in the ground and they would excel though.

Anyway, just a sigh of relief really.
Took on a big project. Looks like it’s all going well.
