Krippy aka kryptonite

I beleive this is a video from the early 90s and they show farmers growing the landraces still but in small quantities compared to the Krippy. They keep the old ones pure for breeding but 2/3 of the garden is krippy. Krippy is short for kryptonite because it is much stronger then the local landraces. When asked what it was the guy in video says something like it’s a hybrid you know the strong one. One of the oldest uses of the term krippy I can find. You can tell they weren’t worried about exacted genetics just that it was stronger and hybrid from foreighn genetics.

crippy seems to be a generic name for any strong hybrid as opposed to an actual strain, or at least thats what the central/south american members said iirc … @MadScientist passed out beans of costa rican ‘punto creepy’ originally from colombia

Punto creepy sounds scary but makes me want to smoke it !

I would agree with are costs rican member about it being a hybrid that’s what all accounts I find refer to it as. Maybe a punto roja cross to some faster indica varieties
