I have 3 from mid 70’s farm sprouted now, 45 year old seeds popped by 2 days, one embryo literally shot out of the shell (just a seam crack) and was swimming free in water/ peroxide mix. Don’t know if she will make it, not wanting to make first set of leaves but not a germination problem.
It would be helpful to have a time line of that period and About when the first crosses out of landrace appeared and how they evolved through the 80’s and 90’s also.
I was just going to ask. Same suspects for mystery plant number one? Looks sativa. Does the stem smell like cinnamon? I remember the stem rub from White Widow smells like cinnamon
if you’re talking about the funky looking plant on the left in the picture, that’s what my old Afghani plants do when they get root bound, or even just when the Taproot hits the bottom of the container. They don’t like being restricted. If that’s not what it is then I have no idea.
Mine should be here today all in with pre press mold and various bags was around 400. I used savings to upgrade to better heat plates 4 x7 , 4 heat rods, top and bottom thermostats and temp controllers.
Looking good. Sorry not much time lately. Late may is busy where i am. The garden usually goes in by Memorial Day. I don’t even have it turned over yet. Last couple weeks of late snow really messed up my schedule. Now it’s crunch time. Lawn needs doing, deck needs to be stained, roof needs to be fixed, all sorts of stuff. Not much spare time these days. Was I right on those Panama’s? How about the MTF. Still can’t tell from the picture. Little bit fuzzy and I’m not able to blow it up any bigger. Sure looks female, and I think I see a calyx but I can’t be positive. you can sure see it on Panama number one now. Also your mystery plant sure looks like a girl to me. Lanky but not too stretched.
Never heard of that particular viet strain. The landrace team has an 11-15 week vietnamese (from northern vietnam I think). Flowering time seems right. Excellent reviews. Maybe someone has picked it up? Colombian necktie sounds killer.
I’ve had good luck on strainly. Prices are cheaper for the same seeds sold by the same company in some instances. Khalifa genetics is an example. I bet there are some dishonest vendors too.
If it’s the same Vietnam black line as everyone else has, you need to scrog or stake the branches, 100%, no exceptions.
To be fair I don’t use a silica additive, so that might be a smart option to help support the branches, too.
Not sure have a few in sprout, purple Thai is first GOOD Asian I have tried since Thai stick. And I’m loving cutting orange hair joints of trippy Sativa.
Cannot find any info other than what’s on Strainly Seedfinder, I do remember the name back in 80’s. First goal will be for me and Desertgrown to find a Sativa leaning Brutal paw that tastes like we remember. Then maybe Sativa it Back up with CG. Then a x with left hand triple Durban? To get the start of the “necktie”
