Landrace Expansion & Trade

Original breeder was Hash Hands which I can find no info on. Have to have the wife get on Facebook/Twitter and check a couple leads I have on original cuts of Monkey Paw in State here. OG is about the only social media I do.

Worse case could substitute Viet Blk for the Northern Vietnamese.

I tend to think to get the ‘local’ stuff you need to be searching for ‘high mids’ and it will be lightly seeded Could buy local homegrown like that if you knew the right peeps going back 40 year or more

Missed this somehow. Please do a thread when you grow them . I ordered Highland guerrero from Glg and picked up oaxacan and vintage mex freebie(thankyou @lefthandseeds! Also I missed your post regarding poor germ rates from the real Seed Company Leb a month ago. I can send you some of my second generation rsc leb to help if it isn’t too late.) Perhaps this winter we could do an all Mexican thread and many of us could chuck some mexi beans. .

They said yeah, their Vietnam is still in stock, and gave me the contact info to send an email.

Guy on instagram said it was the best pure “haze” he ever smoked. I figure that means clear effects. Sounds really good. My next order will be from them. Next week maybe… they have a bunch that look good. Colombian black. Malawi. Lesotho,Laotian and Thai(oh my!) Phillipines. Hard to pick even just six! Could be years before I get to grow them all. That Vietnamese could finish for us…

I have a lot of random mexi seeds gifted to a friend from an old timer. I’m going to be trying to germinate a bunch of them. I have some supposed Panama Red from the same source. some old guy… I have a slim chance I can take him back to where he got them and see if it’s possible to track the guy down.

Exciting! Cant wait to see what you come up with! Some old treasure for sure. Panama Red…that would be something! Are you attempting germination now?

I hope I get to putting the seeds down today. I’m getting too busy too fast. Happens every year here. I’ll drop enough to get a start.

Nice, I was looking at that Oaxacan last night and luckily fell asleep as the clock ran out on my 300 dollar cart luckily …

They will be open pollenated slightly when i run them. Thinking this winter… then pass out some beans.

Looking good for both of those. Cabeca had great germination. Supposed to be just ok but 13 out of 15 popped and are healthy. Malana was near 100% as well. Excited!

Nice get. You are a patient man, I foresee the flowering time being counted in months not weeks.

Score! Can’t decide if I’ll run the Guerrero or Oaxaca first. Which are you gonna start with?

You’re right there! I have no idea how long cabeca goes but should be 16 weeks or so, although i may have heard 14? I have afropips malawi and khalifas kullu going as well. 16 weeks for malawi and 16-20 for Kullu. Whether I am patient or not remains to be seen, but I’ve waited my whole life anyway, so what’s a few more months  malawi has the happiest seedlings I have ever seen. I have them all in the same soil, which they enjoy much more than my earlier starts enjoyed their 50/50 oceanforest/pro mix blend ( magnesium deficiency , now corrected, showed real quick in this mix). New mix is 25% each of garden soil, perlite, ocean forest and pro mix bx with myco. They are growing twice as fast in this, tho they are only 8 or 9 days old. (1/2 cap cal mag every watering per gallon) Tashkurgan is in the same mix and liking it too. The plan is to start flowering the tropicals this weekend.

I was thinking of starting with the oaxacan, but what are you running? Do you like the idea of a Mexican run this winter? I hope so… because if you germ yr seeds today I’ll end up popping mine too and i have no room for them lol. I was thinking right around Christmas? I wanted to run some Indian landraces after this run and Ill start them mid august to get a couple months flowering in before they go indoors, so they should be done by then. But I could be persuaded to start the mexi with them too so… Do you happen to know which cryptic labs mexican is the best?
