Landrace strains - general thread

SnoCap and 89NL5 noof cut are 2 cuts I’m searching high and low for.

Growing some @prairieboy Reeferman’s Hoa Bac - Vietnamese Silver Leaf by Reeferman. Just have a small closet/cabinet going and all my plants have been in solo cups too long. One of the Viet’s is showing pistils and it’s the self topped mutant that grew out of it.
Also have some of @nube Dank Sinatra F2,
Chimera’s Sweet Skunk x Jack Herer
Chimeras Dolce aka Sweetest Sativa (Breeder Steve’s Sweet Skunk x DJ’s Blueberry),
and a few seeds I’ve had for a while from this guy when I was living in NorCal but I’ve always doubted the lineage bc he gave me Sour D x Bubba Kush, Jack Herer x Blue Dream, and what I’m growing now which was “AK47”

Interested in seeing pics of that HOA-Bac. Even if it has been in a small container too long. I have a cross of Vietnam Black and Hoa Bac, kindly given to me by a fellow overgrower, and I’m just itching to grow them. A little weed porn would satisfy me for now.

hey I grew snow cap prob back in '09 or so. very interesting and unique aroma, dank buds, and kind of a pinkish color that turned to white if I remember correctly. think they tended towards mildew but it also was a tough year for it. anyhow I ran across seeds online from some seedbank recently but sorry that I don’t remember which one it was. mine were from cuts but a search online may yield some results for you. either way, best of luck to you.

@Swampthing Bet those are legit, Ken would have had access to that cut while it floated around throughout the bay area until roughly 2013.

Based on the description, it sounds like a “bx with some artistic license.” I bet he selected a catpiss male that just seemed similar, and wasn’t necessarily the exact same line used in the original cross.

I bet this would produce some excellent plants.

Please fill me in. Why the hemp hybrids? CBD?
Great to hear from you my friend. Try and get a picture of that Morocco and the Sinai. It sounds fascinating. Take care of yourself.

Blessings…

This hemp hybrid is high in CBD as well as CBC, as well as moderate THC. I am interested in the CBC.

The Morocco looks good. Nice fat colas. Short plants, finishing now. The Sinai is more wild and wispy. Open plants, more like a sativa, skinny, and later blooming. The males are ahead of the females by about a month. So I froze some pollen for the gals when they are ready for pollinating. I generally do not post photos any more, as seed companies have ripped them off to sell their wares in the past. Maybe I will get Photoshop and watermark the posted photos. Still, I dunno. Maybe this winter I will have time to do that stuff.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but you can still find packs of drunken parrot from Bodhi - NL5 Noof x Snow Lotus. :v:

Here’s a Vietnam black from the same genetics I believe, male in reveg outside trying to show balls for a second time…love to pass these genes around in pollen…:metal::sunglasses:

Also got a few of the Black Willies from @romanoweed and @Guitarzan to pop I believe…:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

I’ve read about a couple landraces that smell pissy. One of the phenos of my uncle’s pot smells like cat pee. I never smoked cat pee, but I wouldn’t imagine it would smoke as good as this stuff does. Very Potent motivational weed. I think its Durban, but are there others that reek of piss? Was Durban used outdoors in Northern Washington, east of cascades? 50 degrees North latitude…I also smell black licorice. It’s my favorite phenotype descended from seeds my uncle gave me in 1998 or so. He grew all through the 60s 70s 80s and 90s.

Malawi, day 93…still going…supposed to go 105 days according to old description. Two different phenotypes. One is Red stem, and the other, I think, is Kanangina, which, when translated, means Pleasure and Pain. Apparently this phenotype it’s supposed to make you emotional and then laugh your ass off

First 2 are kanangina, last one is red stem

I’d love some of that pollen to put in a freezer for future use with these same genetics. Nice little christmas tree you have there.

That’s too bad. Seems to be common practice. Many times not even the right strain is shown. Just a random picture of good pot. I remember high times showing a picture of some killer looking weed for one of their articles. And I’m thinking to myself boy this picture looks familiar! So I dig out one of my old magazines, and sure enough there is that same photo of the same plant on the back page for greenhouse seeds White Widow, or great white shark. I never had the honor of one of my photos being swiped though. I guess in a way it’s got to be flattering, while at the same time pissing you off. I hope you can find a way to get us some pictures to look at. Love to see your plants. What’s photo chop?

@upstate . I guess you have the viet x hoa that came once from me . Wich includes same vietblackline like Instagators. Instagators has 1/8th unrelated genetics in his Llne.
I hope instagator ever mentions it when passing around, so that we dont incoperate external Genetics in vietnames-collectors circles. Im shure @instagator keeps that in mind to mention it always.

I figured they were from the same source. I’m really excited about trying these! I bet you are too! I will make sure not to cross them into the Hoa Bac/ vietblack line… So instigators is a Viet black that was out crossed to something else, and then backcrossed for seven generations. Thank you for the info. I don’t want any damn Afghan genetics mixed into a wonderful sativa that’s for sure. When they are growing out, I’ll make sure you get seeds back of the best. Edit. Since instigator and I both have the same Viet black, there is no “Damn Afghan” in there, as I mentioned before. Sorry for any confusion. This Vietnam Black is probably the closest I’ll ever get to the landrace that produced this gem. I really look forward to trying it

I’m pretty sure I let you know, but in case I have forgotten be sure to check out biodynamic cultivars on Instagram. I think I have that name right. If not let me know and I’ll find it. This guy is reproducing a Peruvian jungle sativa, and he claims the local Peruvian landrace is can be quite trippy. He had an outright mushroom like experience with one of them. I’m getting a flashback that I told you all this, so I apologize for a repeat if that’s the case. Make sure you check him out.

Mamamia , i hope Instagator can change that in the future. The 1/8 th RomulanWidow is very hard to spot. Please @Instagator tell the People very exact what you give them , when sending
