If they came from Tibet - it would simply make sense that they would live in the hills / mountain…
Seems like there’s always some type of neat association with people being marginalized and/or seeking spiritual enlightenment and finding themselves in the hills enjoying ganja. Indian Sadhus, the marginalized Africans in Jamaica, the coolies in Jamaica, the beginnings of the Rastafari movement itself at Pinnacle, Hmong in SE Asia. It’s all so similar in a lot of ways. Many blessings and much love
Yeah, "po-po out the window’ does that.
This is a movie about the Kogui people of Colombia coming down from their mountain to teach us (little brothers) about water protection
Howdy @drgreensleeves, you make an excellent point regarding oldest recorded history (that academia will let us get our hands on). In my opinion this is so very true and incredibly insightful. Sometimes I get lost in the “facts” we have available and forget about how and what I read between the lines, and I very much enjoy and prefer to read between the lines of what we “know of” in terms of recorded history. I think there really is so much more unrecorded, undiscovered, and/or flat out hidden history of the world than there is currently available and accessable recorded history. Massive respect for refreshing this thought and perspective within me.
I really enjoy the way you think and the perspectives you share. Once I realized the Olmec set up shop at what I believe to be a waypoint of global traveling, the isthmus of Tehuantepec, and how the nearby waters of the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico can facilitate continued travel to other continents it really planted a seed in my mind of an ancient way of life that was supremacy sophisticated yet rooted in nature and the resources of the planet. I’m also one of those who believe in ancient giants and that the tropical regions around the planet once fostered complex and advanced civilizations like in the rainforests of Central and South America. I had never considered the Amazon to have been cultivated in such a way and now it really sounds so pleasant to view it that way. That places like the Gulf of Mexico and extending out to the Caribbean and even the Canary Islands were part of what many like Plato called Atlantis.
I believe life was seeded on earth by intergalactic travelers of some sort, and in a dualistic way, by a reflection of our ancient selves so to speak. Life is life and takes many shapes and forms, in my opinion. Currently looking for some intergalactic landraces if anyone has any please reach out.
@ElaineBenes that’s such a great link and video! When I was younger I almost moved to Colombia with the idea that I would live amongst the indigenous people of the rainforests or on the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. To grow regional specific landrace types in their centers of origin. I remember learning that the families on the mountain had vertical type of plots that they found sustenance on, meaning each level of elevation from sea level up to higher elevations provided different value and resource potential to those living there. Sort of how I more recently learned the ways of hunter gatherers in Africa and how they travel to and from different areas depending on the time of year and the availability of resources in different locations. It all seems so appealing to me. Thanks for the blast from the past, the reminder of those indigenous people of Colombia really brings a smile to my face. I remember wanting to go visit to source some authentic Santa Marta landrace seeds and it’s reinvigorated my desire to travel and acquire landraces and heirlooms from regional specific places again. Wishing you a happy day.
Many blessings and much love
Would anyone know by chance, of genetics that come from cool, wet, heavy clay soils?
It came to me thinking about disease resistance, especially septoria, that matching the soil type to the genetics is a route to explore.
Maybe Friesland? (alt. sp. Freezland) aka M33
They seem so handle a wet Canadian fall well.
Cheers

2 summers ago along a soggy soy bean field, the Thai plant of @SativaKid, stood the Healthiest while the others Self-seeded to save themselves (rodelization) yeah, i learned that word, in 2023
the durban poison (below) as an example, gave us a handful of nice seeds before she keeled
There’s a lil difference cos pure Friesland indica is M33 freeze land is a bx line using pluton for the incross and M33 as the main parent
@sadhu
Hey everyone.
I offer for someone to preserve ![]()
Turkish Delight Greenthumb x Moliotiko Greek Landrace - Realseedcompany.
Its a fifty fifty Cross of these two closely situated (neighborcountries) Landraces.
Well, actually its unknown if the Turkish Delight is a landrace.
All that is known that a Ziplock with “turk 1975” written on it was found. This was then reproduced, but i and someone else on the net find it landracy. Alltho it has slight hybrid vibes.
So, my Goal is to find someone to cross the fifty fifty Cross back another time to Turkish Delight (because TD is feminized) .
So that we get a 3/4 Turkish delight.
My goal is to keep this eventual turkish landrace alive. Thats why i do this.
I would offer to send you one or two from my remaining three TD seeds, and a good bunch of the Turkishdelight x moliotiko.
I also want to thank @cannaloop for kindly gifting me the Turkish delight.
Ah and the reason for sending it away is because i cant grow weed nomore the next years, im tired of running to my outdoor spots and such.
you would just have to commit to share the backcross to TD with others, to keep it in circulation , just keep it alive.
The high ot the TD is very strong stressrelieving, on the negative side, its quiet indica, but not all the way indica. I love to be awke on this stuff and watch the world looking like out of clay…And i say that as a mostly sativalover. ITs quiet dreamy and colorful high.
The moliotiko was a good choice too, soft, happy, and brings a bit more a uphing.
What do you call this cross? Frenemies? lol as the countries have a long standing feud that extends into current day
Nice one, thats a great lead, was that a thai hybrid or a landrace?
I was in touch with real seeds, they reckon himalayan strains too, came across this there: New Landrace Freebies – Nepali Mountain Ganja (25s) + Afghan Mix (5s) – The Real Seed Company
and also their Dakshinkali
possibility of those finishing for me. Time to back to source on this one.
Cheers for the recommendation @Gpaw I forgot to mention I like sativa dominance.
they may be similar as in genetical analysis many strains like yugoslavian, turkish, i think hungarian and i recall even russian showed similar genomics.
thats probably because of adaptation (or how the correct term is). similar climate, similar weed
The effect of the 50/50 cross isnt hybrid. It feels similar landracy…
Hello @bonghopper
@SativaKid would be the source for that answer. But I do believe he had done work on them …
2023 this is the plant we found the purple pheno in.
What sort of scents aromas you picking up
