Landraces and heirloom

For a long time, flowers bloom but don’t shed pollen, the same thing had happened with a blueberry male from dj’short years ago.

The male is still alive

So, does it ever recover? Is it just a dud? Not sure if I’ve seen that before.

The male will not shed pollen, perhaps inbreeding depression.

It has a nice structure for a male. I haven’t had that since the 70’s, I guess.

Of all the NLD males, the Thai red male has been the slowest to release pollen.

Bottom pic. I would like to see where the plant is getting into the bag.

Ok 1/3 of the plant is in the bag…he was outside for two weeks so I won’t take it back in either room. He had to go, caught a good whif from 5 feet away and my eyes and nose started running. Also is upwind of my air intake and AC. Just a real nice vigorous male with the purple trait.

Thanks! I have been doing partial polinations with chip bags and tape.

Was thinking the same thing , with my short term memory problems I’ll have to mark all the branches with painters tape. Of course I’ll go overboard and be painting every plants bottom branches with three different types of pollen…:joy:
