How close is that to hunza valley ? There is a landrace I acquired from I think the real seed company from hunza valley
I do know one to be Jalalabad star.
Not familiar with anything from there. ![]()
Hunza valley is near Hopper valley Gilgit landraces, @LandraceWarden
Should know that place pretty good.
You probably have already seen this but this is a huge resource for afghani landrace strains.
@CocoaCoir , I am not saying purchase from them, but the link has alot of good info.
:o
Do you have any interesting link to read about that? Thought they are legit…
It was on Instagram back when I was on there. Unfortunately I cant find it anymore. I will delete my comment for now until I find a source.
I started a Jalalabad Star thread to feature a Salang pass landrace.
The first one you mentioned badakhshan is one of the four northern afghan turkestani strains Angus sells in the afghan mix if I remember right bud
If I remember correctly the issues are surrounding full power selections not Indian landrace exchange directly. The person I heard talking about a missing ear in Malana is a walking pos himself who some look up to but most know is a fraud and a con artist. The main reason I knew bdsc would have a bad rep not long after getting started up is this dudes involvement, he is a sell out and a spreader of russet mites and bs info. I would take the rumors with a huge grain of salt. I have a few of the Indian landrace exchange offerings , the eastern manipur burma is the only one I’ve grown yet and it was exactly as advertised.
I wish I could afford to grab all there landrace stock its very legit imo.
Also if you don’t like local farmers getting short changed you may want to be careful what coffee or vanilla you consume as those are some of the most exploited farmers currently still watering plants.
Many would be surprised how violent and insane the vanilla bean market actually is.
