Landscape photos. Show your beautiful bits!

I thought that maybe the case as it looks prestine, probably for the best, some humans have no respect and will ruin beautiful places unfortunately.

Cool pics. I live around Trinidad and haven’t been over to that side of the state since I moved back. I love road tripping but with funds so low, I don’t go like I used to.

You’re right, this state has some amazing landscapes. All crammed into one state. Our area is unique as we sit right at the edge of the Great Plains. We’re located in the first foothills to the larger mountains west of here. I have such a diverse mix, all within 3 hours from here. I live right between two state parks we have here. One has a lake. I love it here.

@GMan Ive never made it down as far as Trinidad, we were in Pueblo a few times.

Sounds like a beautiful part of the State, been to Mosca, for Great Sand Dunes NP in the mountains to the west of you, spectacular sight.

Love road trips, we love to take detours too, I love history so any signs that sound interesting, we follow them. Im with you on the funds though, we bought a home and had our 1st kid, number 2 is due in September. Prob be 2-3 years before we can hit the road again.
You are blessed with a beautiful State.

@Hemp beautiful pics, everywhere you look a photo worthy scene.
Sounds like a fun trip, its those fleeting interactions with another human that make everyday interesting.

If I remember correctly this was a thrown away rose growing out of a compost pile in the woods on a property I maintain

Looks like an old dredge or something like that. That’s crazy just walk into the woods and see something like that. Did you get in it? I don’t know if I would have maybe if I’ve been younger not now. I’m gonna stand back and look kind of person. cool story. I bet you had fun on that thing.

There is a saying on a tombstone. The road goes on forever. I had someone ask me what do you do when you come to a dead end? I just do a U-turn,it never stopped. I’m not a rich person. Funny how you talk about things when you get older. I started my road trips years ago. People always love me. I feel blessed to be able to see the things that I have without costing me much at all just being a friend. Some of those pictures are from Washington state in Oregon Nevada. I have more. I don’t like to show off too much. I feel like if I post something good then someone else will. I don’t wanna see you naked. I just want to feel the excitement. One Love

I know where you were at. Have you ever been to the garden of God’s? It’s kind around the Colorado Springs area I’m sure you know that. One of the most beautiful towns in Colorado in my opinion is Craig. One of the oldest ranches there in America. I meant the people that own the place. A man that gets up at 4 o’clock in the morning and works past dark Has to be a humble person. @GMan Nice avatar.

Hey @Hemp, the first two pics of post 396… That looks like the Beartooth Pass road outside of Red Lodge, Montana. I lived there for 12 years.

You would dig Trinidad. It’s beginning a revitalization and will be more popular in the future. But, the history in this area is amazing. It’s one of the reasons I like it here. Lots of the most famous Western historical figures either lived here or passed through often. The stories are great. We have some cool historians here that chronicle it all and publish bits of it often. It’s fun.

Where do you guys live? Not in Colorado? peace

The clouds were rolling over the top of the mountain and ridge across from my house. It looks like a tidal wave breaking over them. Sunsets are most always cool here.

@Hemp Im with you man, when I was younger I would just book a ticket to where I wanted to go and nothing else, no hotel etc, just see what happens, travel wherever I felt like going.

Garden of the Gods is cool man, some crazy rock formations. I agree 100%, Colorado Springs is a really nice spot, there is a lot of meth and homelessness. But never had any hassel and had some really good times in that city.

I have one something like that I’ll have to see if I can find it. Thanks for sharing that is crazy how the clouds look like an old hat or gray hair. @Foreveryoung that was the only way to do it. I can remember going somewhere. Go through a little town. I would think to myself I would like to live here. I’ve always liked small places little hole in wall. A turn in the road. Peace

Beautiful pic man, I seen some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets in my life while in CO.
Also experienced some of the most terrifying and spectacular weather events in my life there too.

For work I spent a lot of time over there, the plan was to move there permanently a couple of years ago, but plans changed. Will deff include Trinidad in our next visit.
So back in Ireland for now, cant wait to get back though. A couple of pics from a site at home older than the pyramids.
