Last week of Flowering and I see this in microscope

Is that mold of some kind?

My rh is always 50-55%, how did I get mold on my last week??

Now what? Can I spray Azadirachtin before harvest or is there nothing I can do except harvest immediately and toss affected leaves and buds? (I’ve only seen it on a few leaves, no buds so far, wasn’t there last night)

I’ve heard of water curing to help with this and I’ve heard of rinsing after a harvest as well…

I can’t see it or smell it… I just noticed it on my microscope.

Any experience?

Hola!
i would NOT spray any chems that close to harvest…
…and i’m not sure if that aren’t just burned trichnom heads.
Did you spray anything on it, during the flower?

Water curing take all taste out of your bud, budwashing maybe in case that these are real bugs and not just burned heads.
Do you have a picture of a whole plant/bud?

Looks more like a burn to me than mold.

No, last I checked with a microscope a day or two back they looked exactly like this minus the white hairs coming out of the leaves and looking like hairs horizontally… All I had was tri homes and gaps between them… Now these hairs fill in the gaps… Is that normal?

Here are a few more pics I took just now. Also ripped open a small bud I accidently cut off and found this tiny bug inside. Anyone know what it is? A thrip?

I also noticed the under side of leaves has hairs… Never looked at the bottom, could be normal. Is it?

Trying to learn here, used microscope last week and didn’t have any little hairs just trichomes.

That last picture is really worrying. It almost looks like its caked on and cracked as it dried out. Whatever it is. The bug too.

These last pics shows the angle so you can see trichomes and the fuzz seperately, they don’t look like burned tips, they seem seperate, because they are growing side ways like hair or fuzz… But to the naked eye some has a green hue or white depending on where you look.

If I take a normal photo you won’t be able to see it

Here are photos of the plant for those who asked. And standard camera close ups

Oh the one with the bug I tore the bud open to look for mold inside and didn’t see any. Just found the bug, but he could have been anywhere, super tiny, couldn’t even see him prior to the microscope.

Yea I’m hesitant to spray anything. I sprayed a super diluted H2o2 water on a couple leaves to see if it helps or hurts the plant at all. It’s 0.025% so it’s extremely diluted but may still work. This plant hates H2o2 so 0.1% was too much so yea.

Can you show me a photo of burned trichomes vs mold? Everyone online says mold is typically Grey or white. This stuff is white but if burned trichomes are also white then I don’t know…

@JoeCrowe has a fair amount of experience with microscope ID. Maybe he’ll stop by and can tell you what it is.

I have humidity control constantly spraying a very fine mist into the tent but it’s always been there, the photos never looked like that prior. Let Me post a few pics of before this. I don’t see white hairs in the old pics, I see green leaf in the gaps. I guess some could be trichomes but I’m not sure why they look all crushed as nothing has changed in 24hrs…I also 8ncluded a few photos of a bud I had previously noted mold on for reference as to why I think it might be mild (was in a jar)

Sounds cool, I’m super new to the cannabis micro world. Google doesn’t show much except trichomes up close so I don’t know what normal is since plants all look different… Some look snow covered… I’d trip out if mine looked like that, I’d never know if it was moldy or not lol

Looks like bugs and water scale to me.

I haven’t had any bug issues in months. I randomly see 1 here and there.

I did see white powder all over my wires and Buckets and stuff… But I only spray RO for humidity so there shouldn’t be scale… So I’m not sure where it’s coming from.

dead leaves + humidity = fungal haven :man_shrugging: get that dead material out

no humidifier during flower, forget that, let it be dry

start prying open all the buds & look for brown/grey/white/bad

botrytis invades the stem, sometimes way earlier than flowering, but shows itself in the buds.

typically rot from the inside out.

sorry, it’s early here

Yea I was taking a growing class and they say to not touch any fan leaves during the harvest time as you don’t want to mess with their growth at all. But otherwise in Flowering you can trim as needed.

I live in AZ if I let the humidity just drop I’d likely end up with dead plants in a matter of days, they are all currently on the brink of drying out. I harvested 2 other plants which are doing fine, no mold… It’s like 30% rh here. I have it at 45-50% right now via 1.6vpd

Yea most fungus starts inside out. I haven’t seen anything on buds, just leaves. But do I just terminate waiting for full maturity of younger flowers and just harvest?..
