dead leaves + humidity = fungal haven 
get that dead material out
no humidifier during flower, forget that, let it be dry
start prying open all the buds & look for brown/grey/white/bad
botrytis invades the stem, sometimes way earlier than flowering, but shows itself in the buds.
typically rot from the inside out.
