So I grow sugar pumpkins specifically for pies and a few other edible and decorative types but the seeds I was referring to are from pumpkins that weigh well over 2000 pounds, I’m trying to take my county record at some point and starting with the best genetics possible should help. I’m realy not sure what one would do with that much pumpkin when the show is over but we do have several farm animals I’m sure would love to see a car sized pumpkin thrown there way

One would prob have to grow one to get one unless somebody at your local farmers market sells them but blue Hubbard squash and Guatemalan blue squash make some of the best pumpkin pie ever.

I know, that was kinda my point, Morning glory seeds contain lysergic acid amide (LSA) which chemically, is very close to LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) its only missing the diethyl. The Effects how ever when crushed and eaten or extracted in vodka or the like, is very very close to a seditive dream like acid trip, and they are PERFECTLY legal. Morning glory AND Hawaiian baby woodrose seed both Contain LSA. You can literally trip like your on acid legally, but cannibis farms cant bank and the seeds are overly high priced, compared to something that is literally compareable to taking ACID. I mean if that dont show the stupidity of our governement I dont know what does.

I come from a VERY small town, and growing up, even weed was often hard to find, so we had to get creative when we wanted to catch a buzz lol. I am also Gen X so we had to FAFO lmao

You can even find Opium Poppy seeds, and its a legal gray area, while technically illegal, its rarely enforced when grown as an ornamental flower. Honestly, the biggest risk is if you are harvesting the opium.

Growing for Ornamental Purposes

While the law does not explicitly outlaw growing opium poppies as ornamental plants, the DEA considers “knowing cultivation” of opium poppies to be illegal
Many garden centers and seed catalogs still sell opium poppy seeds, as enforcement is rare for personal ornamental cultivation.
However, if law enforcement believes that you are growing with intent to harvest opium, you could face legal issues.

Which just makes the price of commercial cannabis seeds and the fact that commercial grows cant bank as a business seem even more insane when someone could be growing freaking opium in a 10x10 tent, and no one would know the difference if they keep their mouth shut about it.

 omg man as a teenager we used to munch on those. They were available at a local garden store. The effects were like a low quality acid trip with a drowsy dreamy feeling. Not recommended id puke my guts out everytime. We called it a poormans dose. Peruvian cactus flesh and hawaiian woodrose seeds were way better if natural psychedelics are your thing.

As far as the lavender kush ive heard that name used quite a bit. Think some refer to somas and some refer to kushes. :man_shrugging:

back to the topic  : my only experience with lavender related things,
is a strain that a friend of mine grows outdoors in his garden over the last 20+ years.
I like it a lot, its my favorite wellness weed

he started with a lavender cut from soma, and some jack herer, and added more strains he liked overtime.
today its somewhat of a heirloom
and ranges from very early finishing (mid september) to later finishing ( end of october) [@52latitude] phenos.
many turn purple.

all of them bring an strong muscle relaxing and good pain numbing effect and have a very medicinal quality to me. they dont couchlock me but give me very good stress relieve(especialy if i feel angry), deeply relaxed with a warm nice feeling in my heart and a clear headspace.

the early ones bring very herbal, mildly sweet and hashy flavors with a slight sweet roundet honey note.

the mid ones in terms of flowering time can smell sweet/ honey like and round as well a bit hashy. only slightly herbal.

the late ones bring a bit of dried fruit tops to the over all a very sweet honey like round body and hashy base of the smell.

the quality that i describe with roundness in terms of smell is related to the smell of lavender but not exactly alike.

i got some seeds of the different phenos and plan on repro/preserving them.

Sounds like you have some specific phenotypes! Honey and hash sound light and lovely~
The community has been really happy to see this strain worked with and seems to help quite a few people.
I am particularly excited to see it crosses with the OG Kush clone I have. That should be something special…’
Best of luck on the preservation, sounds like a winner :trophy:

I was just reading and was thinking nobody mentioned Wookie. Nicely done @Beau
Does anyone know much about big skunk Korea?
Would that Korean indica be the same parent as Romulan? Just random Adhd thoughts.
Also @Sodapop Would midnight cowboy (Mendo purple x Wookie)from Bodhi be of interest to your lavender hunt?

Not much knowledge on big skunk Korea, Midnight cowboy could be! I got a nice lemon Wookie f4 Lav pheno from @BackyardBoogie420 that’s in the ring too

My Lavender line based on Lemon Wookie has a divergent line thats basically 100% wookie. I cant say enough how great wookie dominant plants are. That being said, Ive ran a buncha wookie crosses, and most kinda inject lavender into what is already the dominant flavor. It usually comes out super amazing, but isn’t that “pure” lavender smell like folks are talking about.

Had some glove hash I partook with and it was a nice and smooth lavender gas. The buzz was pretty mellow and enjoyable. Nice light finger hash <3
