I’m running my 400 watt metal halide for the first week or two of flower. Read somewhere that it stops the stretch a bit. Limited headroom.

Gonna feed a bit of veg nutes in the beginning week of flower too.

What’s everyone’s opinion on this ? Anyone else do this or am I crazy lol

I use my 400 mh to transition over to hps in the week leading up to going into flower . Seems to help them from going yellow under hps.

Sweet. I slowly went to 12/12 … 16/8, 14/10 then 12/12. Plants were showing pre-flowers a few weeks ago.

I went a couple weeks with a mh bulb, then switched to hps. I can’t say for sure, because I’m not familiar with the strains I’m running, but no, I don’t think you are crazy.

Lefty is one of the reasons this is such a great site. He is a super great dude.

Nice! Yeah I switched over to the HPS now; today is week two. I have grown black garlic before and it does seem to have less stretch this time so I think this will be a new thing for me.

Also fed veg nuts for a week and a half transition period. I’ll have to take some more pics of the erb trees :evergreen_tree:

Also, the closer you can keep the lights on and lights off temps, will help reduce the stretch.

It’s not easy to do man. I am looking forward to a closed system to help maintain.

Yeah me too! If I close the cabinet my temps get way too high.

Been meaning to build another cabinet with ventilation and more headroom but haven’t had the time lately.

My projects are moving slow as well. I went from a buddy needing help to 14 hour days. Much better than not working for sure.

Oh yeah, long days man!

Definitely better then not working; I’ve been lucky enough to keep working thru all these pandemic times. construction being an allowable service… but sometimes I wish I could just have a few weeks off haha

That’s great to hear man! I used to do some part time construction. When his son moved in, I was moved out. :joy:

Haha nice; bummer about the son tho but that’s usually how she goes lol. Especially family businesses

I feel that way sometimes. A ton of work to get it where it needs to be for me to be lucky instead of beat up!

Its best if you start properly in the beginning.

Ah yes definitely better then construction; gets hard on the body. So are you part of a legal grow ? How many plants at work to look after??
