I would like to hear some opinions from the more experienced ones about what might be happening with this plant.
It has been flowering for almost two and a half months. Some of the leaves on the upper part of the plant are showing signs of leaves with small white spots and turning yellow.
Any tips? Thanks in advance! Big hug and great cultivation to all.
thrips i am afraid spots on the top leaves are usually them but that does look like critter damage start leafing thru the top part of the plants hope i am wrong
I am very new so excuse my inexperience please, My first plant did somthing similar and upon investigation and reading I found little spider mite eggs were causing the white spots in my leaves lying eggs on the bottom side of the leaf, It did look a little different than this tho, but my issue very quickly got out of hand , in the end I was in my grow with a vacuum sucking up the few inches of dirt off each plant , I lost the 2 week long battle and ended up throwing everthing out, stopped for a couple years and here I am again trying to give it another shot
Pests thrive on warmer moist environments esp those without great air exchange so keep that in mind… A couple years ago I was growing in the spring with really rough conditions and what do you know thrips and spider mites showed up. Also fungus gnats will show up but normally won’t do a ton of damage unless larvae spread everywhere
Bomb your room with a bug smoke bomb (candle) after each grow if bugs keep returning. Summink that’s got permethrin in should do trick and keeps bugs at bay.
thats what I did , after cleaning everything out I bought one of those raid things you put in small area not living in at the time, and nuked the little pricks, havnt seen a living thing in there since lol
You can see the thripes if you check under side of leaves they are really small and fast. i had them once and used lady bugs to combat them, as well as captain jacks dead bug.
I’m not a big fan of treating anything past midflower except for removing foliage and possibly Bud washing during harvest. Unfortunately have dealt with pests many times over the years growing so just one of those things. Always clean your grow area and sanitize equipment too
Another thing you can do is add a few lady bugs to your tent. You can buy them online or at a local nursery and keep a container of them in your fridge so there is always some ready to go into the tent.
Just a heads up that it looks like you may have some nutrient issues going on too, from the yellowing and browning spots on the fan leaves. Since you’re far into flowering cycle, maybe back off on feed/heat/light intensity to try and finish them up.
