Hello and welcome everybody!
I’ve spent almost a year on OverGrow sharing pictures, Information and meeting other like minded really great people and now I feel like it’s time to start a grow diary. My first of hopefully many to come. Anybody and everyone are welcome as we take this journey exploring Genus Seed Co.
Here’s a little backstory…
I was fortunate enough to come in contact with and have some very deep and heartfelt conversations with the person behind this company, a beautiful spirt and one of the nicest people I have ever met. I was on a search for Alpha Dog, a clone I had over a decade or so ago in the PNW that I loved to grow for my wife at the time. That plant checked all her boxes and always had a place in the garden. Unfortunately we lose things as we fumble threw life but I never forgot about that plant, one of the many. That clone/name is how Genus and I got to chatting. I explained that I provide flowers for my mom and my wife and that I always have and always will, I believe it’s important to know where your cannabis comes from and that it’s also important to grow what works for the ones you love or for yourself. Whatever the case may be. I love my mother and my wife so I am always trying to find plants that help remedy their afflictions. He and I have many similarities and shared similar feelings on cannabis as medicine. We shared many conversations here on OverGrow and by the time we were done a package had arrived to my house. I didn’t know at the time how to express how grateful I was for his very thoughtful gesture. So I waited for months…. Then it came to me. Now here we all are. I have decided to dedicate my 2025 to growing nothing but Genus Seed Co seeds to show how much I appreciate him and how grateful I am for him being so good to my family and I. I want to share information about his work to the world and show everyone his beautiful creations. Maybe it inspires people to grow his creations too? Maybe it will show folks that not all great packs cost $200+. Maybe it will help make some noise for the little guys? After all it is the breeders that give us most of the seeds we grow, they are the true heroes that deserve all the praise. Thank you again Genus, I will never forget what you’ve done for me.
Hell yeah bro, love ur intro and feel its sincerity, ur a good dude!! Ill b followong along w this little garden party, excited to c what ur working with and hopefully u find something reminiscent of the old ur looking for and that works for ur madre and wifey!! Hey brotha man! Thanks for your interest. I have quite a few Genus packs to grow out so I’m just going to go with the flow and burn threw each one or multiples at a time until I grow, smoke and report each one. It’s going to be a good one. I’ll have some other plants mixed into the flower area coming and going as they finish too, my wife will have plants to add to the perpetual grow as I’m doing all these so we’ll see how it all goes! I’m pretty happy and honored to be able to run what I have. Happy new year to you too man, hope you and your family are doing well also, awesome stuff brotha!

It’s kind of a tradition for me whenever I run a pack of seeds I usually just run half, that way I have half to giveaway after I confirm there’s some females. Stick around and maybe you could be one of the winners who gets half a pack!?! There will be several threw out the year.
Every single seed I have germinating, has popped and is growing healthy taproots!!! I’m out with the wife right now, but I’ll post pictures later. 6 out of 6 popped, good things are to come friends!
All 6 popped effortlessly, beautiful taproots and all were put into solos on a skateboard under a little T5 with reused soil that has some EWC, Mycos, granular humic acids and whatever is left of the dry amendments from the previous runs in it. Here’s a picture of the plants that will go into the flower tent next. They are Jaws Fruity pebbles OG, Copas sunshine daydream and possibly Genus seed co’s Eastern Stars just waiting to sex that one first.
All 6 seeds put into solos have all broken ground and are coming along nicely. 100% germination, good things are to come. Please hangout and stay awhile, I love you all.
All 6 seeds are trucking along happily, but here’s a little update on one of the 2 Eastern Stars seeds from Genus Seed co that I popped a few months back…
I’ll be harvesting my last plant out of the flower tent tomorrow, then doing transplants and eventually clones after they recover.

I’m smoking on a few different Urban Menace plants now, and we love each of them.
However, one plant was a stand out, as whenever I share it, some folks find her to over powering for them.
You do feel like a bird that fly’s into a window, the sudden SMACK, out of no where, with a serious dazed of WTF just happened to me.
That is awesome!!! You are more than welcome to post pics of Genus plants in this thread, in fact I encourage it. I do have to say that those are some beautiful plants my friend. This thread is all about appreciation, grow info, strain info and love for the seed company and the incredible human behind it all. I sure hope that when I get mine all grown and happy, I too can flower out as beautiful plants as yours @webeblzr . Thank you for sharing and taking the time to check out the thread. I love to hear your experience with the effects from those two strains! Sooner than later I might just be that bird smacking into a window ; )
Here’s a little update on the 6 seeds I have going so far. One may be a little runty, but that’s just fine. Never give up on your runts folks, sometimes they can be quite special in the end. Also…. It’s Wednesday my dudesss UGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I love that meme haha.
Update!! They are all coming along nicely with no signs of stopping. I’m pretty happy overall. We all know how the seedling stage works and it may be the least exciting but here’s a picture anyways so you can see the growth my friends!
