Let’s see those old grow guides and collectibles!

This is an extremely rare copy of “Grow yer own stone a concise alternative to the existing black market in cannabis” by Alexander Sumach 1973 1st printing, from what I understand the Canadian authorities jailed shopkeepers who carried this little gem and burned the copies they confiscated… what a beautiful cover. Very good.

Crack those covers and lets see the meat! You have n excellent collection.

And its wild to think of how oppressive Canadas laws were then for drug culture, pornography, or anything else “obscene”

I don’t really handle them too much, most of them are stored in comic book type sleeves, for condition sake, lol.

For the record, i think you should scan and upload every single one of these resources to some kind of public platform, or post it around so it gets saved.

These book printings were so special, they were often hand written, have limited production runs, etc. We have to preserve more of them

I get that kinda the opposite of what you are doing, but please think about it. The world needs this info!

I know… that’s the reason I have gathered them, I’m kind of terrified to fuck with a lot of them, but I wholeheartedly agree with you.

Phone cameras can take scan quality pictures now.

Or if you contact your local library or archives, you can talk with someone about doing it safely or maybe having someone work with you for the fun of documenting folk culture that is under represented.

But i get that, it would suck to try to take a picture and the binding on the book or something failed

Grow yer own stone by Alexander Sumach individual pages photos can be found here. His copy has a big ol stain but it’s still readable.

Ya man, I’ll try to figure out how to get at least some of them uploaded somehow, a bunch of them are the only copies I’ve ever seen, and trust me I’ve been looking, scouring for books has been a pretty bad obsession of mine.

Super rare indeed! I’ve dug through 65-75 publications pretty intensively looking for info on red cherry oil and never saw that one. That’s amazing  first Ed too!
