Lets Grow Some Autos!

Sure man, regular non-photoperiodic plants have it’s role. Not only for breeding, but for independence.
I’ve sowed a pack of auto northern lights (fast buds), good trichome coverage, nice flowers and fine yield. Got some S1 with reversing one indica leaning pheno, and also made some F1 with a male paraguayan sativa (brickweed seeds).
The f1’s are fire!! Fast flowering and got a complex, but homogeneous aroma. Selected a male from this generation and had them clones pollinated… in about four weeks I will be popping the F2, and the fun begins.

The Tangie caught my eye tonight while watering. The girls are going through 5+ gallons a day. I’m running the dehumidifier non stop to try to keep good conditions. I’ll probably chop the Double Grape this weekend as she’s still throwing flowers and time is running out on flowering time at this point. The Tropicana Hammer might get chopped too to make some room in the tent as I dont think she got seeded at all. Here are a couple Tangie pics. I’ve ran her before but the bud structure is a little different this time but she still looks good.

a question. you wrote maybe i will cut the Double grape auto, because it is still producing pollen. Have you checked if the seeds on the double grape auto are ripe? Since it was the latest variety.

Yea, the couple I checked were ready. I’m going to check it some more here in a few hours and as long as most are ready, I’ll go ahead and chop it and a couple others. The tent is severely overgrown right now and I need to make some room. Taking a couple outside might be a possibility also.

Beautiful outdoor autos @ChinookKing. Hopefully I’ll be able to grow one like that this year outside.

Day 88 update. I chopped the Double Grape, Tropicana Hammer and the Queens Banner last night. I had too many buds laying on buds laying on buds. Now there’s a little breathing room. That Alien vs Triangle has really decent sized buds and I was risking rot. The Queens Banner looks like she caught a lot of the pollen from what I’m seeing. I didn’t really care for the bud structure o her though. She made golf ball type buds and didnt really stack. The smell was garlic BO type smell and had absolutely no sweet smell at all. She was extremely branchy and had branches off of branches. I cant really find any seeds in that Tropicana Hammer which sucks as she had really pretty solid frosty buds. She was on the other side of the tent though. Anyways I’ll try to give another update this evening when the light comes back on.

Here is the Double Grape

And here is a pic of the Queens Banner branching.

I found him by asking around for any local breeders I can try out and i try and do at least one run a year of his gear. Plants have been pretty and a joy to grow.

Just a quick update. Buds are putting on a lot of mass for semi-seeded bud. It’s hard to tell from the pics but the bud on that Tropicana Cookies Purple are really massive. I had to lasso her with a wire and tie her to the tent pole because she was drying out and falling over. I’m really impressed from coming out of a 2 gal pot. Anyways they’re doing ok minus the big drybacks. Hopefully a lot of seeds are made. Beer can for scale.

Hey OG’ers, I just wanted to throw a pic of that Tangie in here. I’ve grown it once before and the bud structure looks a little different this time but the smell is the same. She is one I definitely have interest in on a breeding project.
