Yeah, I think they really liked the organic soil, it had been resting for about 5 months, which probably helped.
So, if you only grow outdoors, what’s the best way to breed photoperiod plants into autos? Is there a way to select for recessive genetics without controlling light cycles?

My understanding is you cross the photo and auto, then back cross to the photo 4-5 generations while picking only the autos to make it a full auto.
with a small garden (legal limit of 6 plants), I only throw a little supplemental light when it’s needed, just enough to break up the dark
It can be done with 3 crosses but most go 4.
F1 photos x autos = fast photos
F2 Will result in 25% autos. If you cross them=
F3 should be a very high percentage of autos. Near 100% but F4 will lock it in.

with a auto you need to feed @14days old @ 1/4 strength normal feed at the start, i think they like it that way
