Lets see those CMH buds

Id like to see some flowers grown under cmh lighting. Im thinking about buying a cmh setup to run in my 5x5 this winter to experiment with.

Yeah man I would love to see some also and last year started a thread on flowering with just traditional metal halide. I ran a couple of strains under my 4200K spectrum which put on some good frost but had a little extra foliage. Seems like most of the modern CMH use 4000K range. And as you can imagine it inevitably turned into a LED verse hid debate haha

While I have no pictures, I tried flowering under cmh’s I didn’t find the product to be better than under HPS’s. Now I flower under Full Spectrum LED’s and will never look back, although oddly enough I have 1 guy I sell to that said he misses my buds that were grown under HPS. Not that he turns down what I’m selling now.

My HPS grew plants better than anything since. When my driver burned out, I bought a CMH and got good results, but never as good as HPS. My son said I can get similar results by adding yellow LED to my current setup, which is all LED since my CMH burned out the power supply.

CMH.
All of these grown with happy frog Ocean Forest soil and topped dressed with Worm castings and Organic Espoma garden tone or sometimes I use the tomatoe tone. This was years ago so I can’t remember all the strains in here.

These are the lights I used. I kick myself for selling them a long time ago when I took a break from growing.
