Somewhere I was reading that at the height of flower you can go closer with the light. But does it mean that at the end if I dont increase the distance again, I get light burn?
How does a plant look at the end of its life cycle? Do the leaves die at the end of flower?
Yes the plants will die at the end of flower unless you re veg it, by putting it under 24 hours light for a couple of weeks, or longer then reduce to 20 hours light for a while.
If you move your light closer near the end of the flower stage you may cause fox tailing. Its no a natural thing for the light intensity to get stronger as time goes on its the opposite in nature so this can stress the plants I find.
But could it be that the plants get more sensitive to light intensity at the end? To me it seems when the buds are shooting from the plant, the plant can go really close to the light. But later it seems the same distance damages the leaves.
How much light intensity they need for the final ripening? Should I move the lights further away than in mid flower?
I only move my lights up during the stretch phase after that I dont touch the lights unless I have a problem and need to move them out the way. I just go a couple of inches above the recommended lowest height for the light. The damage you arev probably seeing is the leaves dying off through senescence, if the light was doing it they would taco up or down first before burning I feel.
I have been using 600w HPS light’s but I am trying LEDs in place of one ATM to see how they flower under those.
Depends on the strain when the leaves start to cannabolize themselves usually starts in the last 3 weeks with the older fan leaves and progresses through the plant sometimes even the little sugar leaves will start to fade if I leave them long enough.
here is a pic I harvested this last Sunday. Is this how your leaves are looking.
