Lighting question

Hey fam! Recently purchased phlizun light commercial’d as 4000w bar led light for a 4x4 grow tent. I was wondering if this light would do the job I’m planning to grow 4 plants at a time in a 4x4 grow house. Thanks in advance.

it does say Phlizun but also says spider witch i think is proprietary trademarked for sure spider farm stuff seems a little odd but it should do just fine

That looks like 320w of light. Yes you can do it. Maybe add 2x 100w qbs.

Good luck.

320 watts will do well in 3x3 worth of space, so just keep your plants away from the walls & out of the corners of the 4x4 and you should be fine.

I’d keep the light low to the plants & dimmed as needed to reach the proper PAR, which ideally you want your tallest tops getting under 1000.

These companies always use misleading product names; calling it a BAR-4000W does not mean it’s a 4,000 watt bar light. They do that crap on purpose, i too bought a " TS 600" that turned out to be a 95 watt light, not nearly enough for one flowering plant let alone four :man_shrugging::man_facepalming:

Get you a lux meter to help you dial in your power amd hanging height. This looks like a great starter light, next purchase i would recommend HLG. Good luck!

Seller seems to be a distributor for various lighting manufacturers. He probably gets parts and assembles them similar to the kits that you find for sale at some manufacturers. He appears to be blending the kits probably to achieve a better price point which is why you see two separate manufacturers on one light. Phlizon is a decent light company and is a member here on OG. He has done various light giveaways and I won one as well. Most of us barely run our lights at 50%. I run my Phlizon full spec 420 W light at less than 50% on a 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 in flower with good results. As was mentioned earlier there is apps to measure PPFD. They are free and work well enough to not need a meter. However, I generally find that some people turn their lights up too high, thinking it will help. Most likely some people are running their lights too high for no CO2. The only reason to run extremely high light levels is to match it with high levels of CO2 . I think this light would work wonderfully for your intended purposes … Cheers @Invisiblebully718 !!!

Currently have a Dogwalker OG 12/12 from seed under an HLG 95w. Need more watts?

O wow I didn’t know he was a member pretty interesting. Thanks for the info I will definitely look into an app to get the lighting right.

@Bayarealivingsoil only if the plant gets too tall or too wide. A 95w light in my opinion will sufficiently flower a 1.5’x1.5’ space and the intensity (or slight lack of) won’t penetrate as far down into the canopy as something with higher wattage

My plants are leaning I was using my t5 lights and fan on my plants but now all of my plants are leaning.

first i dont think those are t5’s they look like under cabinet led strip lights can be done thou get them lower down few inches above the canopy get the seedlings right under neath the lights first they lean then they stretch for the light an old fluorescent fixture would have more punch i get it money but your going to need more power

This is the situation

not sure what the situation is that’s a healthy looking plant nice work was the other finished if your concerned with light penetration get rid of some leaves open her up to let the light shine in if they are climbing into the lights top them some is better than none

Phlizon and spider farmer are 2 different companies so not sure why the seller has it confused…most likely from random Asian distributor and would be careful potential scam. Ebay is full of garbage so hopefully got a return or refund policy. I spent 2020 testing lights for Amazon as a little side hustle during covid and prefer them bc most if not everything covered under returns and refunds along with quick shipping. I’ve used phlizon before and currently have a spider farmer bar light g3000 300 watts but def check the components out

Looks very sweet to me.
I myself, will turn off the T-5’s, once I start using a bigger light.
The T-5 tubes or bulbs, that come with them, I throw away, and swap them out, with high output tubes.
I sprouted seeds for a couple of years when my wife’s cancer showed up, many years ago now.
Black Oil Sunflower seeds, well I sprouted through a 60 pound bag of them over 2 years.
Sold a lot of them to a couple local restaurants, as I figured out how to grow them straight as an arrow, makes better salad display, or some shit like that.
I was getting $18.00 a pound for them, like 12 years ago now, or about 3 - 10/20 trays worth.
GREEN Smoothies can help a person in their fight with cancer.
You may want to support your exhaust tube, coming out the top.
Maybe just poke a wall shelf bracket up on the wall, to drape the tube over.
But it is not necessary, just my old maintenance mechanic side of me, expressing, LOL.
Looks real good!!
