Likely a dumb question

So, If I get a Male plant from a Reg photo period Seed and I want to grow it out to collect pollen does it need to be switched to 12/12 Like a female does for flowering to induce pollen production?

Yes

Generally they take WAY less time than female flowers.

Yes. The male flowers will start to open somewhere between 20 and 25 days of 12/12. By 30 to 35 days 12/12, it will be dumping a pollen storm with lots of male flowers opening every day.

Also to add to this, let the male flower out all the way to really get a gander of what’s going on in his genes…that sounded wrong but seriously lol. Most people kill the males before they ever fully flower. You can get a good idea of flower structure, color, smell, and even some frost in the later stages
