Here is an interesting statement concerning flushing and bone meal use:
“consider using liquid bone meal during the last 2 weeks with your plant flush - this will increase bud size and weight” Also “sugar” use will greatly increase taste (FOOP Sweetener by Organic Bio Science has Yacon syrup, Sorghum Syrup, Muscovado sugar, raw Agave Nectar, Coconut sugar, Date Syrup, Blackstrap Molasses and Raw honey)
haven’t looked a liquid bone meal (really didn’t know they made a liquid)
Ok guys’ is the bone meal thing “bro Science” or " Science fact". FYI - have used FOOP for years with great results all-the-time (depending on amounts and frequency of use)
Liquid bone meal has various uses at different stages of plant development. Bone meal is typically valued for its phosphorus and calcium content,I have used NFTG liquid bone meal for years. I use it earlier in flower and veg for root and bud development. I couldn’t speak to anything foop is talking about.
I find it kinda hard to extrapolate what is being asked/ proposed.
sorry about the un-organized post - brain not working properly.
Grow Magazine is the reference for the bone meal question and use. As for FOOP BioScience it’s one of the best sweeteners on the market. was just wondering if any other cultivator use’s bone meal + thanks for your input, At present not using bone meal BUT re-thinking it’s use
When I take egg shells, pan fry them, to get rid of egg membrane, then I crush them and add enough 5% acidic vinegar, to cover the egg shells by and inch or 2, in a mason jar, with a carboy, as it reacts instantly, making Calcium Acetate.
So can we use bone, to make bone acetate?
Or oyster shell acetate?
Egg shell acetate, reacts 1000 x’s faster than eggs tossed into your garden soil or compost bin.
On another front, when I use LAB’s , the plants love it!
When I combine some simple pulverized and filter, Aloe Vera fronds/leaves, with LAB’s, the plants, will have that electrified look for a few days, like super juiced, or something.
Honestly, I did not know about liquid bone meal.
I’m gonna say that this statement is not true. Not based on any experience with liquid bonemeal itself but based on bone meals performance itself. Bone meal is a slow release fertilizer. I wouldn’t expect any noticeable result using regular bone meal in the last 2 weeks or any 2 week period at all after application. Does liquid bone meal change up it’s performance that much over regular bone meal? I have my doubts.
Bone meal is water-insoluable…so what are they mixing it with or what is it exactly made from.
I’ll add that bone meal needs to break down before the plant can use it. Bone meal itself is not readily available to plants without breaking down which takes time.
Feed it to your worm bins! Wait a few months and then use the castings! ![]()
Correct. Id put my money on its a ferment blend, if not washed with chelates. Thats kinda the magic of fermenting stuff. It’ll break down that molecular chain into something thats quickly available to the plant.
there a few sites that one can get “fermented” blends , also if i remember right they were a bit pricy - be a lot , cheaper if home-made then get into to Korean Farming
