Live slow and get your toes dirty in my grow. Come on down

Happy harvest, everybody. Hope it’s a good day for all.

Man. What an auction over at glg…if that eternal sunshine pack wasn’t already over $100, you’d probably see me bidding on it. Selfishly. Hah. As if I don’t have 1000 f2 seeds to go through. Anyway. Here are a couple updates since it’s been a few days.

Corey Heime #2 :arrow_heading_down: I don’t really have anything bad to say about this cut. Hoss did a good job selecting. It’s like a nice purple og. Time will tell if the smoke is as good as folks claim it to be. It does look nice. It smells really nice too, even though it’s not any crazy unique smells. Just strong, savory, piney gas. Something like 12-14 days left.

Purple Lemon Thai x Lucky Lime. Somewhere around day 33-36. :arrow_heading_down: Some colors trying to come in. Stems are going dark and some calyxs are showing. It’d be cool if it turns out like it’s mom.

I’ve been enjoying the extra space in the flower tent while also trying to figure out exactly what’s going down in the next run. I’m also spacing it out just a bit so I can still run perpetually but I’d like it to look more like chopping 2/3 of the tent at one time and 1/3, 3-4 weeks later. Switch up the work flow a bit so it’s not constantly 1-2 plants every few weeks. Looking like the next run will include both eternal sunshine f1 females, chem 91 s1, TS x SSDD #3, Emperor Haze IX. A nice flower run. Followed by a weird lineup of stuff that hasn’t been impressive in veg or has been annoyingly touchy. Make it a great day, gang. Be back soon

Dude, tell me about it! If I hadn’t already spent so dang much during their recent anniversary sale I’d be all over some of these packs. It’s taking a lot of will power to sit out from the Black Friday sales right now

Awesome lineup you have coming soon for the flower tent! I’ll be interested in seeing how this new workflow goes for you. I’m about to have my perpetual space set up and should probably have a plan for how often I want to force myself to work

Have yourself a Happy Thanksgiving! :turkey:

Nice shots! I like the look of that last PLT x LL the most I think.

ya this too

Thanks! They’re all from the same plant, but I like how it looks. I like the look of the small trichomes. Didn’t see those hairs until it was too late. What a burden animals are.

Happy thanksgiving indeed. Here’s what I do every year…

Awww, “Alice’s Restaurant”! My mom used to play that album all the time when I was a kid, totally forgot about it.

Yeah, I wish whoever that was that posted a link to it on the Bodhi thread hadn’t done that haha. There’s a few things on there that I would lay out for, although the “oldness” of those packs does make me a little leery. I’d still bid on them if I had any money, though.

Yeah I agree with this. Though if they’ve been with bodhi for this long, I have hopes he keeps seeds well. I got my eternal sunshine pack from attitude of all places 2ish years ago and the pack had pretty bad germ rates. I’m more inclined to believe that was attitudes issues rather than the seeds themselves. If nothing else, I hope people that shell out $300/pack for those at least grow some. If I were going to bid on something over there I’d probably rearrange my plans to get it going. That’s just me though. All the packs I’m interested in are over 150+ now and I didnt wake up thinking about any of those packs before I knew about the auction, so… haha it’s not happening. I’m also happy to see bodhi claiming he will be doing more in the coming years with the new space and all. Have to admit I’m a little tired of seeing everything x 88g13hp. They’re all good, but I think I have enjoyed the appy and snow lotus crosses more but that’s just my taste.

Yeah, I’ve got some stuff from Attitude, as well. The only seeds I’ve had issues with germ rates on so far have been the Rare Dankness stuff and that’s just been recently. I do think that they don’t store their seeds well, though.

I know. I saw somebody on the Bodhi thread say they’d shell out the money for some pack that was listed, can’t remember which one, just so they could then turn around and donate it for a “preservation project” thing, which seems… I dunno, kind of odd to me?

I go back and forth haha. The 88G things sometimes surprise me and I do find myself kind of “missing” those jars when they’re gone, but I know what you’re saying. I like the Appy and Snow Lotus crosses, too. I like them all! haha.

Are they? I haven’t looked since whoever that was posted the link.

Right. Me, either. But now that we’re talking about it… haha.

I 100% support their plan, do not discourage it. That way I’m not forking out that kinda $:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Seriously though, there are a few of those I wouldn’t mind growing out :sunglasses:

I know, me, too. I’m gonna try to forget about that fucking link haha…

Those “group buy”/preservation project things that people were suggesting on the Bodhi thread are just… I dunno. A bad idea, I think haha. I feel like every time I read about people getting involved in those, they always end badly, people got ripped off, nobody ever knows what happened with their money or the seeds they were supposed to get or whatever… It feels shady to me. Anybody who gets involved in those things is just asking for trouble.

I think the divide is: those folks that were here prior to the “Hugh_Glass” affair and those that came later.
I know the odds of me getting involved in a group buy are extremely low.

It’s not just me, then? It almost feels like newbies come in and say they want to repro and give back to the community like an automatic talking point. Maybe people just want some trading capital and getting the newest hot pack is a way to do that, but I just caught up on the BOO drama, and have that on the brain.

The perception of saving a buck is great, but it’s a gamble. You just cannot count on other people. I rather pay for what I want and it be mine, in my hands, breeding decisions are mine, etc. I am grateful I am at a stage in my life I can do that.

Yeah… I am all for the community and the advantages it brings but it is weird when one person throws money and someone else grows the seeds or when people ‘invest’ in a reproduction or preservation. Sometimes it seems like a bunch of people who don’t have the resources or abilities to do something come together and expect their deficiencies to be remedied by the group and are surprised when it is executed about as well as it’s planned.

I think like anything, if thought is put into planning something, it can go well. The community is really cool and do get a lot more done than I’d ever be able to do on my own.

So let them. Some folks do just want more friends. Whatever. I don’t think any part of this hobby is exclusive and we don’t all need to have the same goals. I don’t quite understand what newbies means in this context. New to the forum or growing? I still consider myself fairly new here. I’m thankful folks have done what they’ve done and I’ve got seeds I never expected to have. Didn’t you recently come in and get gifted a pack of goji f2’s? I personally take more issue with people coming in asking for stuff than folks coming in with a desire to contribute. There are plenty of things I don’t get into or participate in, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worthwhile.

I dunno what that is haha, but I get the gist.

I dunno what that is, either haha.

I think Rebellious meant new to this forum. That’s how I understood it, anyway.

Hah! It’s been so crazy to see the stir up that has caused. I think whoever was in the first group that pitched in are likely plenty competent, but reading how the shipping has been so messed up doesn’t give me much hope about clone venders and their integrity. Goes to show if you charge $500 for something, folks will assume it’s valuable. Not saying anything about that particular cut though. I’ve never tried it.

Hah let’s all take one from minis book and let the drama exist outside of my realm of care.

@minitiger The Bag of Oranges (BOO) debacle wrapped up this year. People sent seeds, materials, and over $1500 cash to an OG member who then disappeared. He was, “all for the community growmie!”, an active member, and everyone’s BFF until he wasn’t.

@DirtySlowToes I mean new to participating, or an account less than a year and a half old. I consider myself new. Yes, I was gifted Goji OG F2’s from a long-time member, and I hope to gift some to others in the future.

I would not want to discourage anyone from sharing and I do love that OG vibe to share. It’s even inspiring! However, while we come to socialize or make friends, we can’t forget it’s the internet and people can say anything. I truly hate to see people get taken advantage of, and I am a healthy skeptic. When preservations go well and the community benefits that’s really great and I support it all the way. I did not mean to come off as scoffing at preservations in general. No drama here =)

Oh! I think I heard something about that. That was that TopShelfTrees dude, right? And he ripped off a shitload of people? I can’t say I didn’t see that coming. That guy always rubbed me the wrong way.

Anyway, yeah, I dunno. There’re people here who I trust, but not a lot of them haha. It just seems to me that the more people get involved with something, the higher the likelihood that something’s gonna go wrong. And anybody who casually suggests a group buy or whatever publicly is probably up to no good. That seems like something that oughta be handled via DM, but that’s just me…

Not anywhere near what I said, but out of respect for DirtySlowToes asking for no drama, I won’t debate this.

I see now looking back at the earlier post for context . You literally meant it wrapped up this year. Apologies for jumping to conclusions. Cheers HP.
