Hey hey! I was a part of the old overgrow since it was began basically, and always was Coopdog on there. I had probably a hundred grow threads on there over the years before the site disappeared. I’m still rocking those old school genetics, and keeping things small and humble here since things went legal where I am at. Feels good to be on the right side of that line.
Anyhow, just stumbled on to this new version of Overgrow and saw some names I recognized right off the bat, so figured I would jump onboard with the good ship Overgrow for the duration I hope.
It’s been one hell of an interesting journey since I was around last. Looking forward to exploring a bit. Feels like home again already.

I was able to revive the old Pre 88 G13 Hashplant that I got from ndnguy back in the day from some 10+ year old G13HP backcross x 3 I did myself that were 10+ years old. Also rec’d a pack of that crossed to Purple Rhyno that I made too. Both are going now. Also got three oldschool Ohio clone only varieties, Dumpster, which is said to be a G13 cross, Ohio G13, and another straight G13 that is supposedly very old, not sure if it is from the Airborne or Pacific one. Also got William’s Wonder from the old Super Sativa seed catalogue, and Matanuska Thunderf**k.
So nice to be in a place with legal grows, and finally be comfortable with it all. PEace…
Well the Pre 88 G13 Hashplant I have is pretty rare genetics. This came from the pacific NW strains that Sam the Skunkman originally took to Amsterdam and shared with Neville who started the Super Sativa Seed Catalogue that used to be in High Times magazine. Neville used those genetics to create four legendary strains, and then the original parent stock was lost. This G13HP is supposedly from the original 4 varieties that became known as Neville’s 4 lost strains. I was told that Mr. Nice is also from this stock and that a clone only called Larry is also the same genetics. Until the last few years with the advent of the modern seed slingers this was a very tightly held strain. That was how ndnguy told it to me, unembellished in any way.
Well, hell, welcome back. I’ve only been here a little over 2 yrs. But i was a mod in a warez board up until about 2017, Needfulthingz, when the owner died, and as went he, so went the board. So there had been a board that formed years earlier as result of a schism in NFT, and a bunch of us joined the new board. It was a total kick in the ass to watch as old members gradually came to the new board. We had a thread with all the old NFT’ers reminiscing about the old days, that was so invigorating that the admins of the new board got all jealous. I eventually left. They were just a bit too much. NFT was a lot like OG, we had a political section but the admins (both buds of mine) insured that that section was the only section where political talk was allowed.
I’m glad you and others like you have made it back. OG’s history is quite unusual, to say the least.
