The trick is grow enough that you don’t get to most of it right away and get a little back log built up then it becomes easy. Overgrow yourself so to speak. The wet trim really gets me , alot happens during the drying process and I believe leaving the sugar leaves on untill dry makes a better tasting product .

Oh totally dry trim is the way to go you get more suger leaf off anyway as the buds tighten a lil pre cure. It really comes down to if your growing for yourself or your wallet.

I’m finding there’s several clone suppliers here in Maine already! I haven’t checked them out but some look like they have a good selection. Though none of them have Ghost, Mac, or slurricane

Yeah, I hear ya, but I’m not paying their high prices for the FIRST one, then 75% Off the second one. Ugh? The OK clones prices are $5 for unrooted cut and $10 for a rooted one. Heck, I could buy a Boatload at those prices. Just me looking for more “bang for my buck”!!! SS/BW…mister

Well, I know the clone game is ridiculous, especially in the world of “elite” cuts with wild claims and equally capricious prices (not to mention questions of “authenticity” etc).
Having said that, has anyone checked out @kaka on the Farm? He can be a little irascible in a curmudgeony sort of way. His prices aren’t cheap, but most of what he has I’ve found listed elsewhere with even higher price tags, and his genetics seems legit. Ships to U.S. only, I believe.
I splurged on a GMO (SMF) in October, and this thing has been beasting out ever since - it’s kind of ridiculous.
Not sure if he has Ghost OG, but I think he is at least prepping a pre-98 Bubba (Swerve).

Yeah I don’t remember very many landraces being offerd back then. I think we have pictures of most of the old seed catalogs here on overgrow somewhere.
What I really wish is that we could read some of the og conversations that were taking place on the old overgrow. There was disagreement then about who had what. I’ve heard so many theories and they all blend together at certain points .
In reality there are so many good strains now unless you have had it and miss it it’s probably pretty easy to find something comparable

Browsing around old seed bank ads and most of what was available were either hashplant , skunk or northern lights crosses, nevil was out of the game by 91 and had sold off the company and most of his beans to ben dronkers. The closest thing I see to a Hindu is the nl#2.
I highly doubt they will ever tell the whole truth even if they know it. I can see keeping it quite back then but it’s been so long nobody could recreate it even if they knew the parents.
Best thing people can do is find one they like and grow her out , what it is and we’re it originated will be debated for ever.
The ghost cut is out there I’ve talked to several people who have it.

So not having (knowingly) smoked the Ghost cut, what flavors/aromas should I be looking for to compare my 2 Ghost Town phenos against? I have one drying and one still finishing right now. Taller one was super pine and fuel funk, the shorter one currently is similar but more sour, veeeery close to the old ecsd funk. I hope that sticks around!

The one on the right looks like her and the one you describe as similar to ecsd is more on point , I don’t get any pine or lemon at all.
The leaves are much thinner on those though you can see the influence from the cross.

On the right? The top pic is just the colas from tall pheno, topped 1gal coco.
The bottom pic without bottle is one of the colas of the shorter sour pheno.
(Maybe looks different to me because I’m on mobile?)
I thought the top pic was two different plants , the colas look different t but that’s pictures for ya.
The ghost streches alot and has a strong hash oil sour musk to it , no lemon or pine but that’s just my 
I find almost everybody describes things a little different.
I’d keep a mom of both untill you can smoke them and decide which you like and want to work with.

I went with Kosher kush (via @schmarmpit) and will be going with Cannaventure’s ghost s1’s. I’ve tried getting the ghost cut but everyone (not including your self) I’ve made an offer to doesn’t want to give it up
